The police officers were already exasperated by the arrogance of these men who attempted to wield their influence for intimidation. One officer, without missing a beat, played a video depicting the havoc they wreaked at the Everleigh Family residence. “What evidence do you have to support your claims?”
Callum urgently produced a photograph. “This is my sister. If you can bring her out, we can sort everything out.”

The officer glanced at them briefly. “That’s merely a photo, not proof. However, the chaos you created at the Everleigh Family estate is captured on surveillance. Please come with us.”
Before Callum and Cassian could continue their protest, they were swiftly taken into custody. Meanwhile, inside the house, Thorne updated Thalia on the day’s events.
Thalia had braced herself mentally. Though mildly surprised, she managed a soft smile at the sight of his worried expression. “Ast long as I’m back, I’ll see them eventually. There’s no need to be so concerned. They can’t hurt me anymore.”

Thalia preferred not to see them anymore. Thorne would ensure they never crossed her path again.
This time, he vowed to make those who once belittled Thalia pay dearly.
Soon after, Thorne arranged for his cousin Rachel, who was also expecting, to accompany Thalia to the hot springs. “These springs are specially designed for pregnant women. A soak will do you both good.”

Relieved that three of them were chatting comfortably, Thorne finally departed.
