Awakening when a sliver of light streaked across any face, I slowly pushed up in the bed Flay in. Instantly I realized that I was sleeping in Kadden’s bed, vaguely remembering waking in the middle of the night, Glanring in the direction of the opposite of the bed, I saw the other sade was absent of las presence. He became unsettled by whatever news he’d received. “It seems that someone has broken through the barrier, headed straight for the manor; He’s not alone either, there’s at least six others in his presence.”
“Who we all wondered.
“I dont know.” he admitted.
We didn’t have to wait long to find out. Kadden was in the process of shoring both me and Layla up the stairs, wanting us out of the way. Just in case whoever was headed towards the manor turned out to be an enemy and had to fight. Even as curious as I was. I knew that my presence would only be a distraction to them. So despite my worry, I took the stairs, two at a time, Layla following close at my heels.
A door crashed open.
“What the fuck do you want?” the alpha growled.
There was the sound of people swarning inside the manor, proof that the newcomers had finally arrived. There had to be a good half dozen of them or so if the movement was anything to go by. An amitious presence descended on the minor, threatening and menacing. “Don’t dare order me around! You have a lot of gall after what you’ve done?”

Kyne stared down at me. “Did you think it would be any other way? When I found out that the Alpha King was holding you prisoner in his home, I came to get you back. It would only be expected that these bastards would betray you all over again, they never fucking learn
Pusling away from the wall now that the man was removed, Kadden moved until he was standing between us. Arms crossed over his chest, and he glared down at the man. “Von isn’t going anywhere with you. What goes on between us is none of your fucking concem”
