Cecilia stopped in her tracks. Why was Brielle coming home? Did she find out about Cecilia attending Feynman University? No, if Brielle knew, she wouldn’t be so calm about coming
Over.
Cecilia said, “You better not pick me up.”
Julian didn’t respond.
Around six in the evening, Cecilia left the school gate and saw Julian’s silver luxury car. Just as expected, he didn’t take her words to heart.
Cecilia planned to ignore him, but Julian got out of the car.
As soon as he appeared, a crowd began to gather, curious about the unfolding drama. Cecilia, not wanting to become the latest gossip on the campus forum, gritted her teeth and quickly slipped into his car.
Gia, returning to school after grabbing dinner, saw the whole thing. She thought, “That homewrecker, why is she with Tamsin’s boyfriend again?”
Inside the car, Cecilia was fuming. “You better not let Brielle find out about me going to school.”
Okay, Julian replied, but she could hear a hint of relief in his tone.
When they arrived at the Russell Mansion, the door was open.
Julian held Cecilia’s hand as they got out of the car, and Brielle stood at the door, her face beaming with a smile. ‘I told you, Julian, if you spend more time with Cecilia, your relationship will improve.”
“You are right, Julian said.
Cecilia also smiled.
The dining table in the living room was already set with an array of seafood. Cleo stood by and gave Cecilia a knowing look.
Cecilia immediately understood the signal–this meal was not to be touched.
In her previous life, Brielle had orchestrated several special dinners, only succeeding on the final attempt.
She remembered that time, Brielle had spiked the fish soup with an aphrodisiac, and both she and Julian drank it, with no one sober enough to stop what happened.
Brielle cheerfully invited Cecilia and Julian to dine, but Cecilia hesitated.
“I can’t eat seafood lately,” Cecilia said with a troubled expression.
“My oversight, Julian said, “Grandma, Cecilia has been on medication recently. I didn’t want to worry you, so I didn’t mention it.”
Brielle’s eyes widened, her expression a bit disappointed. “Why hide it from me if Cecilia is sick? Cleo, go make some new dishes for Cecilia.”
Cleo nodded and went to the kitchen.
‘I’m not sick; just a bit tired lately.”
Hearing Cecilia say this, Brielle smiled meaningfully. “That’s good.”
Cecilia smiled and glanced at the cake on the side table, craving it. The medicine was too bitter, and she had been craving sweets lately.
Brielle noticed her gaze and smiled even wider. “The cake was specially bought for you two. Cecilia, if you’re hungry, go ahead and have a slice to tide you over.”
“Then I li have some? Cecilia looked at Julian.
Julian was eating seafood and chuckled. “I m not really a fan of cake,‘ he replied.
When Clea brought out the dishes, size saw Cecilia eating the cake and turned pale.
The aphrodisiac was in the cake! With Brielle around, she couldn’t do anything.
“Mrs. Cecilia Russell, lets start with the meal first.” she said nervously.
Alright, thank you.” Cecilia smiled at Cleo who was on the verge of tears; Cecilia had misunderstood her intentions!
Chapter 24 Julian, Get Out–2
Cecilia enjoyed the meal; Clea’s dishes were all her favorites.
Alright, I’ll be leaving now. Julian, take good care of Cecilia, Brielle said cheerfully, her eyes crinkling with laughter, Cleo, come, 111 take you home.”
‘Don’t worry, Grandma. I will, Julian said.
“Thank you, Mrs. Brielle Russell, Cleo said, giving Cecilia a worried look before leaving.
Cecilia waved at them.
After they left, Julian frowned and said, ‘Aren’t you afraid of gaining weight eating so much cake?”
Cecilia was speechless but didn’t bother arguing with him. More importantly, she needed to get rid of him. “You need to go back to the company now, or you’ll be late.”
“Are you kicking me out?” Julian’s frown deepened.
‘Forget it; do whatever you want. Cecilia pursed her lips and went upstairs.
Halfway up the stairs, she felt dizzy, followed by a wave of heat.
What was happening? Was she drugged with an aphrodisiac?
Cecilia tightly gripped the handrail with her right hand, holding her head with her left, her body feeling like it was on fire, a surge of heat coursing through her veins.
Julian sensed something was wrong and called out to her, but she didn’t respond.
Without thinking, he rushed upstairs and supported the swaying Cecilia.
The moment he touched her, he was stunned.
Why was she so hot?
“Are you running a fever?‘ Julian’s tone was anxious, He wanted to carry Cecilia back to her room, but she somehow found the strength to keep holding onto the handrail.
Julian, get away from me.” Cecilia panted, her breath shallow and rapid, with a hint of cake’s sweetness.
“Stop it, Julian said, pursing his lips, forcibly prying her hand off the rail. He picked her up and carried her to her room,
“Put me down. Cecilia bit her lip hard, trying to stay conscious.
Julian glanced at her, about to say something, but swallowed his words when he saw her face.
Her cheeks were flushed with an alluring redness, the slight heat giving her skin a glowing sheen, making her look incredibly tempting. Her long eyelashes trembled, her eyes a mix of clarity and confusion, and her bitten lips remained rosy, adding a touch of stubborn allure.
Julian’s heartbeat quickened; he had never noticed how captivating Cecilia could be.
Her scorching body heat affected him, making him feel a bit hot too. He tightened his grip on her and quickened his pace to her room, placing her on the bed.
After that, he took out his phone to call the private doctor, but Cecilia suddenly wrapped her arms around his waist.
Her voice was hoarse and seductive. “Julian.”
