Chapter 27 Want to Reap Without Sowing? No Way–1
Cecilia, how could you sell the wine to Alaric? Katya couldn’t even eat, feeling a lump in her throat.
Ollie looked freaked out. ‘Yeah, Cecilia, Alaric is super dangerous. How did you get mixed up with him?”
Cecilia lowered her head. “Aunt Katya, you know Julian’s been hanging out with that girl. He even brought her to the auction. In my anger, I decided to spite him. So I bid on a bottle of wine and the person bidding against me for the wine was Alaric.”
She paused, took a sip of her soup, and continued. “I was determined to get that wine, so Alaric let me have it. But after I got it, I got kidnapped by Alaric’s men over that bottle. I was worried about dealing with it, and then early this morning, Alaric offered to buy the wine for ten times the price. I agreed immediately.”
Katya was speechless, her face full of disappointment.
Was ten times the price worth those 50 acres of land?
“Cecilia, why don’t you go and talk to Alaric again? See if you can return the money and get the wine back?‘ Katya said after a long hesitation.
Aunt Katya, getting something back from Alaric might be a bit difficult.” Cecilia pursed her lips, looking troubled.
At that moment, her phone chimed.
Alaric had sent her several videos. The first was of the building he bought, the second was of him and Kian driving around, and the third was of him wandering outside the Medici Mansion.
Seeing the last video, Cecilia was stunned.
Alaric was here.
She smiled and said to Katya, “Why don’t you talk to Alaric yourselves?‘
“What?” Ollie widened his eyes in surprise.
Cecilia said, “Alaric is standing right outside our house.”
Katya was so startled that her hand trembled. She ordered the servants to check outside.
The servants soon returned, nodding frantically at Katya.
Ollie looked nervously at Cecilia. “What’s going on? Why is Alaric here?”
‘He’s probably here to see me.” Cecilia finished the last bit of food in her bowl and said, “Uncle Ollie, since Alaric is right outside, why don’t you go and ask him?”
“No, I’m not going,” Ollie shook his head vigorously.
Katya frowned and glared at Ollie. Although she didn’t have the courage herself, seeing Ollie’s cowardly behavior made her stomach churn with anger.
“Then I’ll go first. It’s not good to keep Alaric waiting. Cecilia stood up.
Katya pouted, feeling sullen.
Cecilia said, “Don’t worry too much. The Medici family has many businesses. Just manage them well. If Jett really wants to train himself, can’t you give him the subsidiary on Meteor Street?
Ollie thought Cecilia made sense. He glanced at Katya. “Yes, the Medici family is big. We can still do business without that piece of land!”
This didnt comfort Katya at all. She glared at him even more fiercely.
Cecilia took in their reactions, smiled, and walked out of the Medici Mansion.
‘Finally decided to come out?” Kian whistled, looking in a good mood.
“What did you talk about?” Alaric asked.
“It’s nothing. Cecilia said as she got into the car. “Just some people wanting to reap where they haven’t sown, that’s all.”
Alaric chuckled softly. “Are you going to let them?”
No way! Cecilia shouted loudly, raising her arms to feel the evening breeze blowing through her golden hair.

At that moment, she felt incredibly free and exhilarated.
“No way!” Kian mimicked her shout, but since he was driving, he didn’t raise his arms.
Alaric watched them play around, a smile forming on his lips.
“By the way, where are you taking me?” Cecilia asked.
Kian cheerfully replied. “Of course, to have a great meal, sing some songs, and have a drink!”
“Too bad, I can’t drink recently.” Cecilia leaned back in her seat.
“I knew that already. I’m taking you to the Coleman family’s best restaurant!” Kian drove even faster.
Alaric glanced at him and said to Cecilia, “If you can’t eat, don’t force yourself.”
Cecilia shook her head. “Actually, I didn’t eat much just now.”
Alaric smiled. “Alright.”
Meanwhile, in the president’s office of the Russell Group.
Julian stood by the large floor–to–ceiling window with a gloomy face. He had slept at the office last night but didn’t sleep well.
“Mr. Russell, it’s time. Should we get going?” Owen asked hesitantly, with a respectful tone.
“Okay.‘ Julian nodded. ‘Let’s go to Feynman University.”
“Should we bring Mrs. Russell along?‘ Owen couldn’t help but ask, remembering the recent close interactions between Cecilia and Julian.
Julian gave him a cold look and said, “We’re picking up Tamsin.”
Understanding the unspoken command, Owen closed his mouth and nodded, following Julian as he strode out of the office. The complexities of Julian and Cecilia’s relationship puzzled Owen.
