The Alpha is Throwing Ch 94

Chapter 94

Sapphire

1 sat perched on the edge of the bed, my freshly bandaged arm resting in my lap. Aragon stood beside me, his hand lightly brushing against mine as if anchoring us both in the aftermath of the attack

The pack doctor had done an excellent job patching me up, but the emotional toll lingered far heavier than the physical injuries

I kept wondering if something had happened out there and Charlie would have been left alone with no one to care for him

Which suddenly brought me to my next line of thought, who can entrust Charlie to if something happens to me

The door suddenly burst open, and Leah rushed in, her face flushed with worry. She was carrying Charlie, his small body trembling as fat tears rolled down his cheeks. Daisy trailed behind her, equally concerned written on her little face

y arm. Oh my gosh, are you okay?she asked

Leah’s eyes scanned the room before landing on me, widening when she saw the sling on my arm. breathlessly, quickly setting Charlie down so he could run to me

I barely had time to answer her before Charlie’s loud wail filled the room, Mamalhe cried, stumbling toward me with outstretched arms. His face was blotchy, tears streaming in a torrent as he collided with my legs and buried his face in my stomach

My baby, what’s wrong?I asked softly, gently stroking his back as his little body shook with sobs. My heart clenched painfully at the sight of him so jupset. “Why are you crying, sweetheart?”

He didn’t answer, just cried harder, clutching me like he was afraid I might disappear. I exchanged a helpless look with Leah, who shrugged, her own worry evident in the furrow of her brow

She had no idea what was going on with him either

Charlie finally lifted his tearstreaked face to look at me, his red, puffy eyes brimming with fresh tears. His lips quivered as he shook his head, and before I could ask again what was wrong, he whirled around and faced Aragon

Why did you hurt my mommy!he yelled, his small fists pounding against Aragon’s stomach. You said you wouldn’t do it again! You lied! I hate you! We shouldn’t have come here,”

The room froze for a moment as his words hung in the air. I gasped, immediately scooping Charlie into my arms despite the sharp pain that flared in my injured arm cradled his head against my shoulder, my free hand stroking his hair as he sobbed into my neck. The ache in my arm was nothing compared to the ache in my chest as I tried to calm him down

Pumpkin, no.I said gently but firmly. Listen to me, baby. Daddy didn’t hurt me. He protected me.”

He shook his head stubbornly, his tiny fists clenching at the fabric of my shirt. No, he didn’t He hurt you, Mama. I saw the bandage, your arm is hurt. He hurt you, and I hate him!”

Charlie! My voice took on a more commanding tone, but I softened it inmediately when he flinched. Baby, Daddy didn’t hurt me. I promise you, He saved me from the bad people who were trying to hurt me

He pulled back slightly, his rearfilled eyes meeting mine. full of doubt and confusion. Promise he whispered

I nodded solemnly, pressing a kiss to his damp cheek. I promise, sweetheart. Daddy didn’t hurt me.”

His linde cheat hitched with another hiccup, and he buried his face in my neck again. Tim Korry, Mama. I’m sorry I yelled. I just I got scared.”

Oh, baby, it’s okay.I munnured, holding him close. You’re allowed to feel scared, but you don’t need to be scared anymore. Daddy and I are here, and we’re safe now

He sniffed, his small hands clutching gat me as if he was afraid to let go. Can we go home now!he mumbled. I don’t like it here. I just want to go

home.”

I glanced at Aragon, who had been silent through the entire exchange, his expression screamed helplessness and for a second, I felt bad for him. He just discovered that his son didn’t trust him and that would hit harder than anything

Buddy.Aragon and softly, crouching down to meet Charlie’s eye level, though the little boy refused to lift his head. Im sorry if scared you. I would never hurt your mommy. I promise you that. I only want to keep her safe, and you safe too.”

Curl peeked out from my neck, his lips trembling as he looked at Aragon. Really?” he whispered

Really,Aragon said with a small nod. I love you and Mommy more than anything in this world. I’d do anything to protect you

ou both

arbe studied hum for a moment before finally reaching out a hand, clutching at Aragon’s shirt. Okay,he said quietly. But I still want to go

Aren’t you going to apologise to your father?

No, I want to go home.”

I smiled faintly, running my fingers through Charlie’s luir. We’ll go home, baby- Just let me flush up here, and we’ll head back.”

Deah, who had been watching the scene unfold with misty eyes finally spoke up. Do you need me to help with anything I can take Charlie and Dasy back if you need some time

Aragon shook his head. No, we’ll all head back together. I don’t want her out of my sight

Chapter 94

Leah nodded, her lips pressing into a thin line. Okay. But if you need anything, just let me know,”

Thank you. Leah,I said sincerely, giving her a grateful look before turning my attention back to Charlie. His breathing had evened out, and his small hands clung to me with less desperation now, Let’s go home, sweetheart.”

Argon helped me to my feet, his hand steadying me as I balanced Charlie on my hip. My arm throbbed in protest, but I ignored it. Charlie needed the reassurance, and I wasn’t about to let go of him just get..

As we walked out of the clinic. Daisy slipped her small hand into mine, looking up at me with wide, curious eyes. Are you okay, Auntie?she asked softly

I smiled down at her, nodding. Tm okay. Danny Thank you for being so brave.”

She beamed at the praise, her tiny chest puffing out proudly. I told Charlie you’d be okay, but he didn’t believe me

Charlie sniffled, peeking over my shoulder to look at her. I just got scared.he admitted. But I’m okay now.”

We piled into the car, the weight of the evening pressing down on me as I settled into the seat with Charlie curled up in my lap. Aragon glanced at mr in the rearview mirror, his eyes meeting mine for a brief moment before he started the car

And in his eyes. I saw a man that was ready to try to get Charlie and me to trust him again. I wish Charlie wasn’t so hard on him, he was trying his best

Whoever had sent those rogues after us had made a grave mistake, and Aragon and I would make sure they never got another chance. But for now, I was content to hold my son close and focus on the fact that we were safe
