Chapter 11 Only I Can Bully Her
Elizabeth stared coldly at Margaret in front of her.
Her words were even colder, “Yeah, you got a better body, you’re preffler, and Michael’s into you, but was it you who married him?”
Elizabeth stood there, cool as a cucumber.
Margaret’s face turned red with rage.
She stomped her foot and jabbed a finger at Elizabeth, yelling, “Elizabeth! Who do you think you are talking to me like that? Do you even know who I am? So what if you married into the Thomas Family? Did Michael ever admit you as his wife? Even if I slapped you right now, he wouldn’t lift a finger to help you! He’d only care aboume!”
Margaret raised her arm.
But before she could swing, there was a loud crash.
Everyone jumped.
Elizabeth, unfazed, walked over to the round table in the living room grabbed a bottle of red wine, and smashed it on coffee table!
the marble
Red wine splattered everywhere, dripping off the table and onto the carpet.
Elizabeth looked fierce. She gripped the broken bottle neck, pointing the jagged edge right at Margaret.
She yelled, “You wanna slap me? Go ahead! Let’s see who’s faster, me or Michael! Touch me today, and I’ll fight you to the end!”
The room went dead silent.
Michael watched Elizabeth quietly, taking a drag from his cigarette.
The smoke clouded his expression.
No one said a word, not even Michael,
Elizabeth tossed the broken bottle into the trash, ignored everyone, and stormed back to her room, slamming the door behind her.
Everyone’s hearts seemed to jump with the door slam.
They all thought Elizabeth was asking for trouble by throwing such an attitude in front of Michael.
But when they looked at Michael, he didn’t seem mad.
Those who knew him well knew he hated noise.
If he heard a sound over sixty decibels, he’d definitely frown.
The door slam was loud as hell, yet he stayed calm?
Something was off.
“I heard Ms. Jones” dad passed away the other day. Judging by her black dress today, she must’ve just come back from the funeral.”

Someone finally broke the silence.
Michael’s eyebrows twitched slightly at that.
Robert’s funeral? No wonder she looked both hurt and fierce just n
Michael gently blew out a thin ring of smoke, lost in thought. Then stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray.
He picked up the wine glass on the table with his long fingers and downed it in one go. As he set the glass down, he said to Margaret, “Margaret, happy birthday.
His voice was low and smooth.
Margaret’s ears warmed, and she raised her glass to him, “Thanks, Michael.”
Today was Margaret’s birthday. She had invited Michael’s friends to his mansion to celebrate her birthday and Michael’s recovery.
She had deliberately provoked Elizabeth earlier to see where she stood with Michael.
Who would’ve thought it would blow up in her face?
Even though Michael seemed calm now, she knew him well enough to know he could turn on her at any moment.
Margaret nervously apologized, “Michael, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it didn’t know Elizabeth’s dad had passed away.”
Michael didn’t even glance at her, “Margaret, I warn you. She is not someone you to mess with her.”

Michael’s eyes, which had been indifferent, suddenly turned as icy as standing on a glacier.
“Even if Elizabeth is a stray kicked out of the Thomas Family, no one else gets to bully her. Mark my word, Margaret.” His cold words hit Margaret like daggers.
Margaret’s hand holding the wine glass shook.
At that moment, Susan came over to

Michael signaled the bodyguard to wheel him back to his room.
Margaret and the others soon left as well.
Before leaving, Margaret glanced at Michael’s resolute back, feeling bitter taste in her mouth.
She had risen to the position of Senior Manager of Public Relations at Stellar Enterprises, all thanks to Michael’s support.
For so many years, there had never been another woman by Michael side.
In Margaret’s mind, she was the only one who could be Michael’s future wife.
In their circle, she had always confidently considered herself the future mistress of the Thomas Family.
After all, Michael had never explicitly stopped her.

Even though he never said he liked her, he never had a girlfriend, either.
She had just gone abroad for a while, and when she came hack, Michel had married Elizabeth.
How could she accept that?
Elizabeth was just a woman Mary had bought for Michael.
Michael had no feelings for her at all.
But why was he defending her?
Could it be that in these few days, Michael had actually developed an interest in Elizabeth?
Margaret clenched her fists tightly.
If that were the case, she would never allow it to continue!
In the guest room.
Finally letting her guard down, Elizabeth closed the door, curled up on the couch, and covered her face with her hands, tears streaming down.
In this moment, in this lonely corner, her tears flowed like a flood breaking through a dam.
She could no longer control it.
Robert was gone, and her resentment towards him suddenly became insignificant.
She remembered when Robert was seriously ill and his company was on the brink of collapse, her stepmother Jennifer had hypocritically sworn in front of him that she would take good care of Elizabeth.
But then Jennifer accused her, “You see Robert is beyond help now. The company’s cash flow is broken, and Robert’s hard work is about to be ruined. Elizabeth, can’t you really stand by and do nothing!”
At that time, Elizabeth had no idea what to do..
Jennifer continued to pressure her, “Mary said that as long as you marry Michael, she will give us a large sum of money. This way, not only can the company recover its losses and turn a profit, but Robert might also get better from the joy. Isn’t this a good deal?”
In the past, to avoid worrying Robert, Elizabeth had endured so much abuse from Jennifer and Patricia.
