Gone Forever
Chapter 21
Could it be that from now on, their whole family would have to rely on Elsie to get by?
Clara felt dizzy just thinking about it.
The mere thought of it was hard for her to accept.
“Mom, apart from everything else, but we can’t give The Forbes Villo Elsie. What would people say about the Forbes family if they found out?”
Monica rolled her eyes dramatically.
“You know it’s a matter of the Forbes family, but what’s your last name?”
“Your last name is Jones! How dare an outsider like you meddle so much!”
Clara was furious and stood up, ready to explode.
Lately, she had been basking in the compliments from a few wealthy ladies because Missy was pregnant with Ronald’s child and was about to marry into the York family.
Now, being mocked by Monica like this, she was naturally ready to lash out.
But at that critical moment, she saw Elsie gesturing with her hands, Grandma, I don’t want it. I don’t need the money.”
The very thing that this entire family was on the verge of publicly fracturing over, Elsie had absolutely no interest in.
This made Percy and his family look even more displeased.
But inwardly, they were relieved.
Monica’s eyes showed even more appreciation as she patted Elsie on the back.
“Don’t be afraid, Elsie. You take it. If anyone dares to take it from you, I’ll chop off their hand.”
Elsie smiled even more brightly and gestured with her hands, “Grandma, I really can’t take it. I won’t be living here permanently, so it would be useless to me.”
Monica was taken aback and immediately asked, “What’s going on? You and Ronald are divorced, so where are you going to live if
not here?”
‘Novaria. I’ll be living there.”
Monica was about to persuade Elsie to stay with her so they could keep each other company.
But when faced with the three disgruntled expressions across from her, she couldn’t bring herself to say it.
With those three troublemakers around, Elsie wouldn’t have a peaceful life if she stayed.
Fine, let Elsie live in Novaria. After all, she grew up there, so it was not unfamiliar.
After chatting for a while longer and seeing Monica looking tired, Elsie and Percy’s family left.

Chapter 21
As soon as they stepped out of The Forbes Villa, Elsie was about to hail a cab when someone grabbed her arm.
The person’s sharp nails dug into her skin.
Elsie immediately pushed back and slapped the person across the face.
This familiar tactic, she could tell in an instant it was Missy even without looking.
Missy yelled in pain, “Elsie, how dare you hit me? Are you crazy?”
Elsie looked at her coldly.
Missy grew even angrier.
“You better divorce Ronald, got it? Don’t think that just because–Grandma and Nash, Raina are protecting you, you can do whatever
you want!”
“If it weren’t for Nash and Raina, do you think Ronald would have married you?”
“Just wait and see!”
With that, Missy ran off, having seen Monica coming out of the house and heading their way.
Elsie watched her leave with a cold smile, then said goodbye to Monica and headed to The Borgia Mansion.
Missy’s words had struck a chord.
Even though she and Ronald had agreed to divorce, if Nash and Raina didn’t agree, the divorce might not happen.
She needed to go to The Borgia Mansion and explain everything.
Nash and Raina were overjoyed to see Elsie, pulling her to sit on the couch and chat.
“Elsie, what brings you here today?” Nash asked, laughing heartily as he poured her a cup of tea.
Elsie smiled warmly and gestured, “I just got back from Novaria and wanted to see you both.”
“You’re so thoughtful,” Nash said, beaming.
Raina, curious, asked, “What were you doing in Novaria?”
Then, as if remembering something, she looked at Elsie with a guilty expression.
“Elsie, don’t read too much into Ronald taking care of Missy,” Raina said gently. “Missy saved Ronald’s life when they were kids. He just sees her as a sister, nothing more.”
Raina was a beauty, and her every move exuded a gentle and charming aura.
Elsie shook her head and signed, “Everyone knows Ronald’s feelings for Missy are romantic. How could I not know?”
Raina’s breathing quickened, her heart racing, and her eyes filled with tears.
“So, you’re saying the child Missy is carrying is really Ronald’s?” Raina asked, her voice trembling.
Elsie nodded.

Tears immediately fell from Raina’s eyes, making Nash’s heart ache.
“That rascal, Ronald really can do anything! Nash exclaimed, putting his arm around Raina’s shoulders.
He turned to Elsie, his tone full of anger. “Elsie, don’t worry. You are the one Ronald officially married into the family. Missy’s child won’t be born. I won’t let Ronald wrong you.”
Elsie felt a pang of frustration. Why did everyone think that as long as Missy’s child wasn’t born, she and Ronald wouldn’t divorce?
Even if the child was gone, did that mean Ronald hadn’t cheated?
Did it mean he hadn’t slept with Missy?
Of course not!
Ronald had already betrayed her, so he had no right to stay by her side!
Elsie gestured firmly, “Ronald and I can’t be together. I never really liked him; he just looks like someone I do like.
With that, she took off the necklace she was wearing and showed them the photo inside.
When Raina saw the photo, she almost stopped breathing.
She knew Elsie had always liked someone, but she hadn’t expected that person to look so much like her grandson.
The necklace was something Elsie cherished and always wore, so it couldn’t be fake.
Realizing this, Raina’s heart pounded, her breathing became rapid, and her lips turned pale.
“Elsie, you’re a good girl. Can’t you reconsider?” Raina pleaded.
Seeing Raina like this, Nash immediately looked worried and gave her some medicine.
Elsie, seeing this, didn’t dare convey anything more, afraid Raina might really get sick.
Even if Ronald treated her poorly, Raina had always been kind to her
Elsie’s understanding touched Nash, and he felt both satisfied and grateful.
He couldn’t help but curse Ronald in his heart.
Ronald thought, “That foolish boy really didn’t know how lucky he was. But he actually pushed away such a good wife. He’ll regret it someday!
