Chapter 12
Third–person POV
The unease in Alpha Franklin’s heart became more and more obvious. Even when walking beside Claire, he was a bit absent–minded.
After a long time, he suddenly looked at Claire with an apologetic face.
“Claire, I can’t accompany you for the time being. Work is busy. I’ve been away for a few days. It’s time I went back to deal with things. properly.”
“Okay, Alpha Franklin. Even if you’re busy with work, don’t be too tired. Remember to take a break.”
Claire perfunctorily replied without much

care.
Alpha Franklin didn’t notice, or perhaps he was already used to her attitude.
She had always been like this. Only when she needed him would she be obedient and
nice to him.
If she didn’t need him, she would casually push him aside.
He had hated her character like this before, but he just couldn’t let her go.
There was no way, he could only accept it.
Alpha Franklin sent Claire home and then returned to the villa.
As soon as he walked into the villa, he couldn’t help but frown tightly.

It seemed that a lot of things were missing in the villa, and yet it also seemed that nothing had changed.
“Butler, where’s Sirena? Hasn’t she come back yet? How long does she want to keep making a fuss?”
Alpha Franklin furrowed his brows, his voice cold.
The butler and the other servants looked. at each other awkwardly and let out a deep sigh, and then bravely spoke up:
“Alpha, Miss Sirena… she packed her things. and left three days ago. She didn’t leave behind anything that belonged to her. You didn’t ask, so we all thought you knew!
Also, it seems that Sirena married Alpha

Roderick. It’s all over the internet now. Did you really break up, or is it just a tantrum? Should we notify Beta Zach to do something and remove these news?”
As he spoke, he showed Alpha Franklin the photos of the news.
As soon as the butler said this, Alpha Franklin felt as if he had been struck by lightning.
There was a buzzing in his ears, and he seemed to be unable to hear any sound.
After a long time, he barely managed to find
his voice:
“Butler, did Sirena really leave? Did she really get married? Did she really not want me
anymore?

Is this really not a joke she’s playing? How could she marry Alpha Roderick? She knows that Alpha Roderick is my sworn enemy. Why is she doing this to spite me?”
He was extremely incredulous. He looked at the photo of Sirena and Alpha Roderick’s marriage certificate over and over again countless times, but still couldn’t convince himself.
He knew he had done something wrong and that he owed Sirena.
So he had already decided to spend the rest of his life making it up to her. Why did she still marry Alpha Roderick?
“Bang!”
Alpha Franklin was so angry that he directly threw the butler’s phone out.

The phone hit the wall heavily and instantly became a broken mess.
But he was so angry that his eyes were red, almost losing his mind.
Sirena was determined to leave.
There was hardly a trace of her existence left in the villa.
Alpha Franklin’s chest heaved up and down. He was so angry that he could barely catch his breath.
Alpha Roderick had been against him for so many years. How could he be a good person?
Did she know Alpha Roderick well? How could she casually marry him? Wasn’t she

afraid of being bullied, tortured, and used until she lost her life?
The more Alpha Franklin thought about it, the more worried he became about Sirena.
After a long time, he still dialed a long- unused phone number.
“Alpha Roderick, it’s me, Alpha Franklin. Sirena is my mate. She just agreed to marry you out of anger. You’d better not bully her or touch her.
She’s not a tool for you to oppose me. I advise you to send her back to me as soon as possible. Otherwise, I will never let you go!”
Alpha Franklin’s cold eyes glinted slightly. His fingertips tapped irritably on the table, as if he was about to lose his patience.

Alpha Roderick sneered on the other end of the phone. “Alpha Franklin, now Sirena is my legitimate wife, she is my fate mate. We’ve done everything we should and shouldn’t do. You want me to send her back to you? You’re dreaming!”
As he spoke, he deliberately emphasized the words “fate mate“, and there was a sense of satisfaction in his voice.
Alpha Franklin was a man who had experienced such things. How could he not understand what this voice implied?
He subconsciously clenched his fists. If it weren’t for the phone in between, he probably would have punched Alpha Roderick in the face already.
