He took it upon himself to request leave from my job, and didn’t go to work himself. He kept me locked up at home for two whole days.

“Alexander, are you planning to keep me locked up forever? This is illegal,” I accused angrily.
“Don’t worry, I just want you to stay home and think things through. I’ve already helped you quit your job,” he said calmly.
I grabbed a throw pillow from the couch and hurled it at him. “What right do you have to quit my job for me?”
Alexander approached me and gripped my wrists. “Olivia, you’d better behave and be a good Mrs. Stone. I’m very busy lately and don’t have time to watch you act out.”
After Alexander left, I looked at the red marks on my wrists. This couldn’t go on. I had to get a divorce.
I went online to research the materials needed to file for divorce. When I went to submit my application at the courthouse, Alexander showed up and dragged me back home.
He tore up my paperwork and yanked my arm. My waist slammed into the edge of the dining table, making me gasp in pain.
“Even if you die, you’ll die as my wife,” he growled.
“Divorce? Get that idea out of your head.”
Alexander glared at me fiercely. I struggled, so he grabbed my hair and slammed my head down on the table.
