Chapter 16
Alpha Georgie barged into the room, his gaze filled with disdain.
“How could you slander the Luna of the Celestial Moon Pack? You clearly hate her, despise her!”
“Sabrina, I thought your actions were driven by jealousy, but I never imagined you’d stoop this low!”
“Do you have any idea how severe the crime of defaming a Luna is? I can’t believe you’d be so negligent, so indifferent to a patient’s life. You’re unfit to be a doctor–let alone my Luna!”
I stood frozen, my throat feeling like it was pierced by a thousand needles.

After a long pause, I finally managed to speak hoarsely.
“Georgie, do you truly believe I would harm a patient out of petty jealousy?”
Alpha Georgie’s chest heaved, his expression dark.
“What else am I supposed to think?”
“I saw it with my own eyes–the fridge at home is full of empty wine bottles.”
That single statement sealed my fate.
The hospital director issued my termination letter on the spot, and my colleagues‘ scornful remarks rained down on me.
Stumbling out of the hospital, I hadn’t even

No one had anticipated that she’d been carrying a knife. The blade slashed across my wrist, leaving a deep wound.
Though it didn’t render my hand completely useless, it meant I could no longer perform precision surgeries.
As the incident escalated, the Werewolf Medical Council revoked my medical license.
This effectively ended any chance of me continuing my career as a doctor within the Celestial Moon Pack.
Relentless harassment from the patient’s family left me unable to cope.
Luna Daisy, playing the role of a righteous savior, stepped in to “resolve” the issue by driving me out of the Celestial Moon Pack.

Forced into the life of a rogue, I tried seeking refuge with neighboring packs.
But no pack was willing to take in a disgraced and allegedly unethical doctor.
When I was at my lowest, I received an invitation from the Moonshadow Pack.
Right before boarding the plane, my phone pinged with a message from Alpha Georgie:
[What’s the meaning of the ring in the drawer? Are you still sulking?]
[I wasn’t trying to abandon you last time–l just wanted you to reflect on your actions.]
[For now, seek shelter with another pack. It’s the only option. You made a serious mistake this time and angered too many people. I couldn’t protect you.]

Shaking off my thoughts, I looked at Old Alpha Kenelm and said earnestly, “Please don’t contact me again. I have nothing to do with Alpha Georgie or the Celestial Moon Pack anymore.”
But Old Alpha Kenelm seemed unfazed and continued.
“Georgie’s meeting just ended–he’s on his way here.”
“Oh, and I should mention, the Celestial Moon Pack has thrived since you left. Georgie made the top 100 on the global billionaires list.””
“Let me tell you, you’ll never find another Alpha as outstanding as him.”
Hearing this, I couldn’t help but laugh.

Raising my hand, I showed off the diamond ring on my finger.
“Did I forget to mention? I’m already married.”
“And this ring? It’s worth almost a year of Alpha Georgie’s earnings.”
The room fell into stunned silence.
The first to react was Alpha Georgie’s sister, Eileen.
She sneered, “There’s no way you’re married. Didn’t you once claim you’d love my brother
for the rest life?”
“That ring’s fake, isn’t it? You couldn’t possibly afford a diamond that big”
“Bet it tastes sweet if you lick it!”

Even Old Alpha Kenelm furrowed his brows, his expression souring.
“Sabrina, don’t joke about something like this. There’s no need to play these games- Georgie has already forgiven you.”
“If you just nod later, you can become the Luna of the Celestial Moon Pack. You’ll have a life of luxury. Honestly, if Georgie hadn’t been so lovesick over you, I wouldn’t even consider you as my daughter–in–law!”
The harsh words didn’t stir a single ripple in my heart.
I merely glanced at my watch.
My husband–Alpha King Chandler–was likely about to arrive.
I needed to leave soon; someone of his
