Chapter 244
KESKA: “Sure, the more the marrier.” I hear Nana say. “pop the trunk Stephen.” Nana says. I watch as Stephen gets out and then puts grandpa’s bag in the trunk. Then he gets back in. We say goodbye to those that have come to see us off. James, Janica, Wyatt, Lexi, Beta Gregg, and his wife, Uncle Carson, Beta Calen, Lissa, Mom, and Father, even Betsey was there. We head out following Nana as she knew where we had to go, and how to get there. The drive north was pretty, there was this one area, that just called to me. It was an old, abandoned resort area, with a ghost, whistle town close, you know the ones a short whistle and your through it, or blink and you miss it. I feel like with the right touch and determination it could be a thriving resort again. Oh well we’ll see. I didn’t realize that the refugees had followed us, nobody bothered telling me. But after everybody got settled, some of them went into Thunder Bay to find work while I was doing my training. Meeting elder Emory was a hoot, he’s fun and funny. I’ve been here for 3 months now, and I have already learned quite a bit, I can tell which bite Corla is going to use, and when she is going to use her poison, I haven’t been able to actually pick which one, but I know which one. And then there is the phasing, when I got here, I could only go about 6 feet, now I can go at least 10 yards, but they say that I can do better, I just have to work at it, but I will say I can go half that distance carrying someone with me. Again, I just have to keep working at it. I have met some cousins, of grandpa’s and they have been the best, they have encouraged me when I have gotten frustrated with the training, because it’s not like our regular training, a lot of it is concentration, and feeling the changes that happen when I phase, and how to control the energy. Both Corla and I have to work on those things. Plus, I still have school. Trever, and Dutch have been going back and forth between here and their apartment complex that they bought, from what I understand it is fully rented now, with both wolves, and humans, and that is why they have to keep such a close eye on it. But they say it is worth it, they have been able to help a few families get back on their feet, with a place to live, while also helping to get some of them jobs.

LIAM: I have watched Kes train, it’s funny when she bites our cousin, because even though she can’t control which bite she uses, he still changes into that element, so she can’t hurt him. We are not far from Thunder Bay. It’s pretty up here, but as long as Kes is here so am I. We were surprised when Seth drove through the gates of the compound behind the moving trucks. I don’t think that Kes or Mackie knew he was coming, and it shocked them that he was there. But he too is in training to be a warrior, we both work with Dutch and Trever when they are here, and we go against each other in sparing when they are not here. School here is different, but good.
KESKA: Just before the holidays Jessie shows up at the compound gates. “WHERE IS SHE! WHERE IS THE LITTLE BITCH THAT KILLED MY MIMI!” I hear the commotion all the way down at the training field. So, I head to the front gates, because I know that voice. “Jessie, you need to calm down.” I say in a firm voice to her. “CALM DOWN! DON’T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN. YOU KILLED MIMI BITCH, SO DON’T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN.” “I did not kill Mimi, Mimi killed Mimi, she tried to burn the whole marquee down, I put the fire out, but with all three princes there what Mimi did was considered an act of terrorism punishable by death, and that is what she got, death for trying to burn all of us alive! Jessie!” “YOU LIE! BITCH!” “I am not lying; would you like to hear it from prince Trever himself? Or Nana? She was there, as well.” “The prince is here?” “Yes, Jessie he is here, he is my mate, Dutch his best friend is Mackie’s mate, and they are both here.” I link Trever to come to the gate. “How can that be? He can’t be your mate.” “Yes, he can, he knew I was his mate at the ball, even though I couldn’t and still can’t scent him yet, he is my mate.” “NO! NO! NO! THAT CAN’T BE! IT JUST CAN’T!” “WELL, GET OVER YOURSELF, BECAUSE KESKA IS MY MATE!!!” Trever yells at her, letting his aura slip through some. Jessie drops to her knees and bares her neck to him immediately. “1,1,1 am s–s- sorry your highness.” She studders out, “You should be. Keska is your princess, and if you can’t accept that, than you will end up just like Amanda, dead. Do I make myself clear?” “Y–Y–Yes your H–H–Highness.” Again, she studders out her answer. “Trever, love let her up.” I say to him. He look down at me questioningly, and I nod. He draws back his aura and lets her stand back up. “Go home Jessie.” “No, you owe me.” “And what by chance would I owe you? You got me stabbed, you got me put in the cells, you got me beat, so what pray tell, do I owe you?” “You owe me for Mimi’s life.” “No that would be Papa Sutter that I would owe. Oh, if you still do not believe me about what happened I can always ask him to come to the gate and speak to you, he is here as well. If I owed anyone, it would be him, but I don’t, and I especially don’t owe you.” I say to her. She reaches out to slap me, I phase behind her, and she hits nothing but air. Trever growls at her. “If you keep it up Jessie I won’t hesitate to take your head, just like I took Amanda’s.” He tells her. “Where did she go?” (“Where did who go?“] Corla asked from behind her, but she was still in phase mode. Yeah, that was something else we were working on, staying in phase mode being invisible. Jessie spun around looking for the voice she heard. “Who is that?” [“I am Corla sister, Oh wait, we are not sisters, you rejected us.“] “Where are you? What are you?” [“I am right in front of your face, I can’t help it you are blind and can’t see me.“) I didn’t even scold her for her rudeness, this time. [“I am Keska’s Wolf.“) “You can’t, she’s too young to have her wolf.” (“Ha! You and Your precious Mimi should have thought of that before you rejected her, clawed her, stabbed her, and kidnapped her. I have been with Keska longer than you’ve been 18.“}

Where the heck is Jessie’s mate? And who the hell told her where Keska is? I get a sense that her parents especially mother really enjoys Jessie bullying her or she wants her to kill her.
