CHARLES: I was in my cottage contemplating what to have for lunch when there was a knock on my door. “Who is it?” “Lilly.” I go open the door for her. “Lilly, this is an unexpected surprise. “Yes, I need a favor to ask of you, Charles.” “Sure, what do you need?” “For Liam and I to stay with you for a week.” “Okayyy? Whyyy?” I asked drawing out the y’s. “Kes and Mackie are both going into heat, and I really don’t want to hear that.” “Yeah, of course you can stay.” She comes in with two small suitcases, one for her and one for Liam. “Thank you, Charles.” “You’re welcome.” I show her to the spare bedroom. “Liam can have the couch,” I say. She nods. “I was just going to make myself some lunch, would you like to join me?” I asked her. “I would love to.” She says. “I need to talk with Elder Emory, I need to let him know about Kes and Mackie.” She says as she pulls out her phone. “Emory, I need to speak with you, it’s important, and private.” “Ok, where are you?” “At Charles’s Cottage.” “I will be right there.” Not 2 minutes later, there comes a knock on my door. I keep forgetting that they phase everywhere in the blink of an eye. I nod to Lilly to go let him in, while I continue with lunch. Lilly brings him into the kitchen. “So, what is this important matter you need to talk to me about?” Emory asked. “Kes and Mackie are both going to be out of commission for the week; they are both in heat,” Lilly tells him. “Is that normal?” Emroy asked. “No, but nothing has been normal for Kes. She got her wolf at 16 and has been around her mate since last July. She will be 17 in June, and Mackie will be 17 in August. The heat is late, it has happened, but not often. I wanted you to know, so as not to expect them at training for the week.” “Are the prince and the gamma with them?” “Yes, personally, I don’t care if the girls are underage. Once Kes’s training is done, I have a feeling we will be leaving.” I have lunch ready for the three of us, and serve it while they are talking. “Speaking of her training, she has come a long way, she can phase up to 50 yards now, and 30 yards if she is carrying a load. She is also able to choose her bite, and she can bite without killing or poisoning.” “That is good news indeed,” Lilly says with a smile. “There is one thing that I am stumped about.” “What is that?” Lilly asked him. “Who told Jessie where she was? How to find her?” “With Jessie, who knows, she can be very manipulative, her mates sister is mated to Janica’s brother, Janica is James’s mate, then there is Leasha, she is from High Crest, they are close, she is mated to Midnight Sky, and Josh is her brother, and if he talked to either James or Wyatt, it could have gotten back to Jessie that way. I am sorry that you had to witness that incident. Jessie has more of her other grandmother in her than she does Rickard.” Lilly says. “Sorry, Charles.” “No need to apologize to me, Lilly. Amanda never thought about anybody but herself, and if Jessie is going to follow in her footsteps, no one can change that, and she, too, will pay for her own mistakes.” I say. They both nod. “Well, I can honestly say that Ellion was not impressed with her. He was about to kill her himself for insulting his cousin like that. He can get very possessive over family.” Emory says. “We have noticed.” Both Lilly and I say. “Yes, but the thing is, she is his cousin too,” Lilly says. “I know, but he still didn’t like it,” Emory states. “I have a feeling that he may want to leave with you when you go.” “I don’t think Kes or Trever will mind if he does, but that will be up to them,” Lilly says, and I start to clean up lunch dishes.
TREVER: Ok, this is going to be strange, after all this time of being told no mating, Lilly says yes. But with Kes going into heat, I can understand. We are taught that it is excruciatingly painful if you don’t have a mate, and you go into heat. Well, luckily, Kes has me, and by the end of the week, I hope that I have put a pup in her. I know that she is young, but with everything she has been, though I want this for her, I want this for us. I go into the bathroom. “Trever!” Kes scolds me. “Sorry, love, but not this time, Lilly says that you are going into your first heat, and the only way to ease you of that pain is for us to mate. I don’t want to scare you with that, but it’s the only way that you won’t be in pain. Do you think you can handle this?” “Is she sure? Isn’t it too soon? I’m not even 17 yet, let alone 18.” “She seems to think it is, and from where I am standing, I can smell it, so yeah, it’s your heat love.” “I am not going to lie; Trever, I am nervous. It’s going to hurt.” “It will hurt more if we don’t love.” She nods at me. “I will be as gentle as I can,” I tell her. Again, she nods. I grab a towel, wrap her up, and get her to the spare bedroom. “Wait, this is Nana’s cottage.” “She told me she was leaving it to us for the week, so that I didn’t have to move you.” She nods at me. I lay her down on the bed. I take my time with her; I want her to enjoy what is going to happen and not be scared or feel ashamed. I get up and go open the window just slightly to let in the cool breezes and fresh air. I come back to the bed, hold out my hand to her. “Come, love.” I pull her to stand her up. “Touch me, I want you to know all of me, explore, take your time, but just know we will mate.” “Will you mark me?” she whispers. “If you want me to.” “Yes.” She answers as she moves her hand to my arms, then she reaches to take my shirt off, and I sit on the bed, so she can lift it over my head. Her hands roam over my upper torso, touching me, exploring my body, taking her time. “Trevor, what if I get pregnant?” “Then we will have a pup to raise,” I say softly. “You won’t be mad?” “No, how could I? I want a family with you.” I tell her and kiss her lips softly, as she continues to touch and explore me, until she has me completely undressed and in bed.
