When I stood my ground and refused, Lucas’s anger flared, and he lost all interest in further discussion. Without a word, he signalled for others to physically drag me into the blood donation room.
The needle entered my skin with a sharp sting, and my blood began to flow steadily into the collection bag.
1 gripped the bed so tightly that my fingers turned pale, and my body twisted in resistance. “I told you, my blood won’t work for Alexander!” I repeated over and over.
But Lucas wouldn’t listen. His eyes were full of disdain as he spoke in a harsh and commanding tone, “Whether it works or not is up to the doctors. But you’re the one responsible for what happened to Alexander today. Even if your blood isn’t useful, donating it is the least of the punishment you deserve.
A heavy knot formed in my chest, and deep down, I knew there was no point in arguing any longer.
After drawing 400cc, the nurse started to remove the needle, but Evelyn’s angry voice cut through the air.
“My brother’s lost so much blood–this little bit won’t be enough! Keep going!”
The nurse hesitated, trying to explain.
“This is the limit. If we take any more, it could be dangerous.”
But Evelyn was undeterred. She clung to Lucas’s arm, practically begging. “Alicia’s been supported by your family for years. I’m just asking her to donate a bit of blood. What danger could there be?”
The nurse stood firm, but Lucas, with a deep frown, made a quick decision.
“Keep going. If anything happens, I’ll take full responsibility.
As the blood bag was reattached, a bitter wry smile crept onto my lips.
I knew this blood draw wouldn’t kill me–I’d been through something like this in my past life and survived.
I swallowed the surge of sadness threatening to spill over, closing my eyes to hide the whirlwind of emotions inside me.
As the blood flow slowed, a wave of dizziness and weakness hit me.
I couldn’t tell how much time had passed, but eventually, the nurse returned with the blood bag. Her expression was serious.
“After testing, the blood is incompatible….
Lucas was stunned.
“How could it not work?’
My mind was hazy, and Lucas, uninterested in my well–being, was frantically talking on the phone.
“Ms. Winter, the blood type incompatibility is severe. Are you and the patient siblings?”
My mind drifted in and out of focus, and I barely managed to nod in response before everything went black and I collapsed.
The next day, I woke to hear the head nurse let out a relieved sigh.
“You two are lucky. Your brother’s surgery was a success, so don’t worry!”
To be honest, I couldn’t have cared less about Alexander’s outcome, especially after all the harm he’d done to me.
“don’t need to hear about him. I don’t care what happens to him”
As soon as I spoke, the door flew open.
Charles and Elizabeth stormed in, their faces twisted with fury, and they immediately began shouting at me..

“You’re the one who caused Alexander’s injury! You’re just a cursed wolf cub from Loki’s bloodline! How can you say you don’t care? Do you even have a conscience? Stop pretending to be sick! Get up now and apologize to Alexander and Evelyn!”
They had brought along wolf guards, who yanked the IV from my arm and grabbed me away roughly.
“The patient hasn’t fully recovered, and she’s still your biological-”
The nurse, terrified, tried to defend me, but before she could finish, the guards threatened her with clenched fists, silencing her instantly.
Charles noticed the nurse’s hesitation and turned, demanding. “What were you about to say?”
But the nurse, clutching the medical files, hurried away as quickly as she could.
I couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh. Let the Whites keep insulting me–I was curious to see how they would regret it when they found out the truth.
Without lingering any longer, they dragged me upstairs to the VIP room.
