Chapter 11 The Birthmark.
Evelyn eyed me with a smug grin, glancing at the time with a mischievous gleam in her eyes.
I noticed the change in her behavior immediately, sensing that she was up to something.
Before I could figure out what she had in mind, the door behind me suddenly swung open.

Evelyn sprang to her feet, clutching the agreement in her hands, and hurried toward Lucas and Alexander, who had just walked in. Her voice bubbled with excitement.
“Lucas. I have something to show you…”
As she moved, a cold realization hit me. I knew exactly what she was planning. My first reaction was to get my hands on that agreement before she could show it to them.
I understood that if Lucas and Alexander saw what was written in that document, everything I had planned would be ruined. I wouldn’t be able to leave when I needed to.
Without wasting a moment, I made a quick decision: I set the agreement on fire.
As the flames devoured the black ink, Evelyn purposely stumbled backward, brushing against my leg as she fell
When she tripped, both Lucas and Alexander instantly shifted into their wolf forms, their massive bodies charging forward in a flash.
Alexander spun around, shoving me roughly to the ground, while Lucas shielded Evelyn, his eyes blazing with anger.
“You crazy wornan! How dare you hurt Evelyn?” he shouted, his voice seething with fury. “If anything happens to her, I swear I won’t let you get away with it!”
“To think you would behave like this right in front of us. You’ve lost it!”
In the midst of their furious reprimands, Evelyn raised her hand, the one that had been burned by the fire, and cried out, her face streaked with tears.
The sight of the slight burn on her hand caused Lucas’s expression to shift into one of concern, his sympathy overflowing as if he couldn’t hold it back any longer.
Alexander, now even more furious, lashed out with his claws, pushing me backward with all his strength. He shoved me toward the blazing fire.
The flames roared higher, catching my hair and clothes on fire.
“Ahl:…”
Thick, dark smoke billowed into the air, filling the room with the acrid scent of burning
My exposed skin turned bright red, and blood began to ooze from the scorched flesh.
The agonizing pain made me writhe on the floor, my screams echoing throughout the mansion.
But Lucas seemned completely unaffected as he gently blew on Evelyn’s burned hand, indifferent to my torment.
“You brought this on yourself,” Alexander muttered coldly, his voice devoid of emotion.
As Alexander advanced toward me, I knew he was about to strike again.
But then, as he leaned in closer, his expression shifted from fury to disbelief.
“Why do you have a rabbit–shaped birthmark?”
At his words, Lucas turned to him in shock. “How is that possible? That’s something only your biological sister would have….

“Get help!” I heard Alexander shout as he rushed to the door, calling for the guards,
At that moment, there was a loud crash as the wine table tipped over, spilling red wine everywhere.
“Evelyn! Hurry, get her to the hospital!” Lucas and Alexander’s voices were filled with panic and fear.

Suddenly, I understood–this was all part of Evelyn’s plan. If they investigated my birthmark, they would realize that I was Alexander’s true sister.
“Alexander, Lucas, I’m in so much pain…“Evelyn groaned before closing her eyes.
Hearing this, both Lucas and Alexander rushed toward Evelyn, who had passed out.
One of them scooped her up and hurried out of the room, while the other frantically called for a doctor.
No one even spared a glance at me anymore–the woman still surrounded by flames, her body burned and scorched by the fire.
The pain coursed through my body like hot needles piercing my nerves, deep into my bones.
My limbs spasmed uncontrollably, and I fought against the excruciating torment, desperate to escape the searing agony.
I tried to put out the flames engulfing me, but the birthmark on my arm had already been burned beyond recognition.
It was gone now, destroyed.
