Mr. Hyde took a drag from his cigarette before finally turning his gaze toward Corey, visibly impatient.

Mr. Hyde was the boss of Corey and Darren.
After that incident back then, Samuel had put out a kill order on them. But everyone who knew the truth was dead, except for the four of them

That was why this was Corey’s first time showing up here.
Corey was terrified of Mr. Hyde, but when it came to his own life, he mustered up the courage to ask Mr. Hyde to send everyone else away. He had something huge to say
Mr. Hyde frowned but eventually dismissed the bodyguards.
Now there were only the two of them in the room.
Corey didn’t waste time. Earlier, with so many people around, he hadn’t dared speak no matter how urgent it was

Corey was practically about to lose his mind. If that person caught Darren, it was only a matter of time before the rest of them were found out too
He didn’t think Darren would cover for them

After hearing Corey out, Mr. Hyde stood up, pulled out his phone, and found the video, along with tons of photos.
Each and every one clearly showed that scar.
“Who took these?”
Corey was nearly crying. “I don’t know. Darren’s missing too, and so is the woman he was with.”
Mr. Hyde’s eyes turned bloodthirsty as he locked his gaze on Corey. “Did you idiots do something?”
He suspected Darren had been messing around and got trapped, leading to his exposure.
Ever since that incident, they had all been lying low – especially Darren. His marks were too obvious.
To avoid exposure, he had toned down his wild ways, sticking with just one lover for years.
There was no way he would carelessly put himself out there now.
Corey felt like his scalp was about to split under that gaze. Shaking, he spilled everything he knew.

“He was fooling around with some rich guy’s mistress and got caught. Maybe the rich guy had hidden cameras in the room. I’m not sure. But that video’s already blown up. It’s everywhere. We can’t cover it up.”
It was only a guess. Normally, he and Darren didn’t keep in touch.
What made it worse was that the video had been posted from Darren’s own social media account.
Which meant Darren’s phone was in someone else’s hands.
There was no way he would be dumb enough to post those photos and videos himself.
Mr. Hyde finally started to panic.
He realized this wasn’t just some small accident.
Darren worked at one of his places. All these years, he hadn’t gone wild. Mr. Hyde had even seen him a few days ago. It was only the past couple of days he hadn’t shown up.
He quickly called his men over. “Where’s Darren? Find him. Get him here now!”
The men looked just as confused. They hadn’t seen Darren for two days either. Facing the boss’s fury, they trembled.
“A couple days ago he said he was buying some present for his little sweetheart. Haven’t seen him since.”
Hearing that, Mr. Hyde’s rage exploded. He kicked the man viciously.
“What is wrong with you? You didn’t think to go find him? Move! Find him! All of you!”
He barked orders while dialing Darren’s phone.
It rang twice.
Then someone finally picked up.
Mr. Hyde didn’t even give them a chance to speak.
“Where the hell have you been? Get your ass back here right now! You know you’ve been exposed? You better come back immediately or I’ll tear you apart!”
He hung up without waiting for a response and threw the phone hard onto the ground.
The call hadn’t disconnected yet.

Through the speaker, a stranger’s voice came through.
“Was just looking for you.”

The room went dead silent. Mr. Hyde and Corey stared at each other, both seeing panic and shock in the other’s eyes.
Mr. Hyde lunged for the phone and snatched it up.
The call had already ended.
“That wasn’t Darren’s voice,” he said, voice low and certain.
