Chapter 29 The Tables Turn
Yvonne pressed both hands on the table, leaning over to glare down at Windy.
The more she looked at that face, the more she hated it.
Windy calmly pulled out a napkin and wiped her mouth.

“The wall says ‘Customers are gods.‘ Who exactly is that meant for? I’m a customer here, yet instead of being treated properly, I’m being screamed at. What do you think should be done about that?”
“Weren’t you taught by your parents that if you want respect, you have to give it first? Even a three–year–old knows that. How old are you?”
Windy’s tone was steady, her voice calm. She leaned back in her chair and looked straight at Yvonne, showing not a trace of shame or fear.
Yvonne let out a laugh, as if mócking Windy’s ignorance and stupidity – daring to talk about manners to her.
“You, a country bumpkin, want to lecture me on manners? What’s your education compared to mine? You’re an illiterate peasant who can barely recognize characters, trying to preach to me? What a goddamn joke. Get out. I’ll give you one minute. If you don’t leave, I’ll have the security guards throw you out.”
Windy let out a cold snort. “Such a big mouth. You act like you own this building.”
Anna stepped forward, the mockery in her eyes barely hidden.
“Well, tough luck for you. My family does own this building. Poor trash like you shouldn’t be embarrassing yourself here. Go back to your street food stalls.”
She turned to the manager. “Throw out all the tableware she touched, disinfect the table and chairs. Who knows what kind of disease she brought in here. Gross.”
Elsa stood silently by, watching Windy get ganged up on. Inside, she was ecstatic. She wished her two friends would say even crueler things.
Best if they could anger Windy to death right here.
On the surface, though, she looked anxious, like she wanted to say something but didn’t know how to.
She fidgeted with her hands, looking helpless.
–
“Please, don’t do this. Let’s talk nicely,” she said in a trembling voice, her eyes red, about to cry, her body subtly shaking – playing her part perfectly.
Listening to Yvonne and Anna throwing insult after insult-
Windy glanced at her steak.
They even spit all over it. How am I supposed to eat this now?
Yvonne opened her mouth again, but before she could say anything more, Windy suddenly grabbed the plate and dumped the leftover food right onto Yvonne’s face.
If she had had more plates, she would’ve dumped one on each of them.
“Ah!
Yvonne’s shrieking tore through the restaurant.
Covered in greasy, sticky leftovers, her once–pretty face twisted up in rage.
She lunged at Windy.

Windy easily sidestepped and casually dusted off her hands.
“Perfect timing. Now you can have a doctor check if I infected you with any disease.”
Elsa and Anna finally snapped out of their daze.
They hurried to pull back the furious Yvonne.
She looked absolutely pathetic.
Everyone in the restaurant was staring.
They were supposed to be high–class socialites. They couldn’t afford to look like common shrews
Good breeding kept Yvonne from letting out another pig–like scream.
Her trembling hand pointed at Windy. “You… you… I’m calling the police!!”
Windy stood up, swept her hair aside, and smiled.
“Good. Let’s have the police come and see how one young girl defended herself against three bullies
She pointed at the 360–degree surveillance cameras in the restaurant.
Elsa stiffened.
Damn it. She had forgotten about the cameras.
Earlier, Yvonne and Anna had screamed all kinds of insults at Windy….
This can’t happen.
If this got out, public opinion would be completely against them.
Windy would be hailed as a brave girl standing up to bullies, and they would become the villains.
Anna, already furious, grabbed her bag and swung it at Windy.
Elsa, quick to react, caught her wrist just in time.
“Anna, calm down. You’re the Fawks family’s daughter!”
The words pulled Anna back to her senses.
Right. She was the Fawks family’s heiress.
How could she ruin her noble image over a crazy girl?
But swallowing the insults and humiliation from this wretch? It was unbearable.
Yvonne, face dripping with greasy leftovers, was shaking with fury.
She couldn’t take it anymore.
Grabbing a glass from the table, she hurled it at Windy.
Windy had been watching her carefully.
The moment Yvonne raised her hand, Windy ducked down swiftly.
The glass flew past Windy and smashed into a table behind her.
“Ah! It hurts!!”
Screams broke out again.

Chapter 29 The Tables Turn
A woman at the other table was struck and immediately started bleeding from her head.
Yvonne froze.
Elsa froze.
Anna froze.
Windy gave the injured woman a sympathetic glance.
Then she turned her cold gaze back to the still–stunned Yvonne.
Without another word, Windy stepped past them and walked away.
