Alpha Francis’s sharp green eyes flickered with confusion. “Prenup? What prenup?”
Sophia blinked, suddenly remembering. She explained seriously, “Before I married Lawrence, we signed a prenuptial agreement. He notarized all his assets, stating that I had no claim to anything he owned before the marriage. When we divorced, aside from the one million he transferred to me a few days ago, I didn’t take a single coin from him. The rest of my savings came from working at the training grounds before we married. As Luna, I wasn’t paid a salary. I had to do side gigs to cover my living expenses.”
”
In Sophia’s eyes, Lawrence’s wealth couldn’t hold a candle to what Alpha Francis had.
If the Silver Claw Pack had been so guarded about her potentially claiming part of Lawrence’s fortune, then surely the Red

Moon Pack–with its vast wealth–would be
even more cautious. But she had no interest in marrying for money.
She held the marriage certificate between her fingers, her voice steady and sincere. “Even though we’re already married, you can still prepare a prenup. I’ll sign it without hesitation.”
Francis’s eyes darkened, locking on to her with an intensity that made her heartbeat stumble.
His presence was naturally intimidating, and those cold, sharp eyes—when silently fixed on someone–could rattle even the boldest.
They had the paperwork, sure, but truthfully, they were still strangers in many ways.
Sophia grew self–conscious under his gaze. “Did… did I say something wrong?”
Without warning, Francis wrapped an arm Waround her waist and pulled her firmly into

Caught off guard, her cheeks flushed crimson as she was enveloped by the masculine scent of pine and cold air that clung to him. She struggled to push away, but-
“Don’t move,” he said, voice low and rough with warning.
She froze.
He looked down at her long lashes and tense shoulders, and some of the steel in his voice softened. Raising a hand, he gently cradled her chin, tilting her face up to his.
“Sophia,” he said solemnly. “Listen carefully. I’ll only say this once. As my Luna, every cent I earn–half of it is yours. Providing for my mate isn’t a favor. It’s my responsibility. You spending my money is your right. It’s that simple.”
His tone was unwavering, and it cut through her like a hot blade through ice. Sophia’s

lashes trembled, and her eyes shimmered with disbelief and a hint of emotion she hadn’t let herself feel in a long time.
In three years with Alpha Lawrence, he had never once said anything like that.
Sure, he hadn’t guarded his assets openly, but that one million he gave her? He only thought of it after the divorce.
And Luna Kayla? Always looking at her like she was a scheming little thief, convinced she seduced Lawrence just to get her hands on the Silver Claw Pack’s fortune. Like Sophia was some opportunist they had to guard every penny from.
Sophia had her pride. She never wanted anyone to think she needed handouts. She had fought tooth and claw, won underground fights, and scraped together every dime she spent.

told her that taking care of her was his duty.
Her eyes watered.
Then Francis leaned in, voice husky and low, “Of course, it’s a two–way street. You’ve got responsibilities as my wife, too.”
She blinked, startled. “What responsibilities?”
A slow smirk tugged at his lips. “For starters… kissing your husband.”
And before she could process that, his lips descended–cool at first, then searing as heat bloomed between them like wildfire.
The kiss deepened quickly, melting any distance left between them. The air inside the car thickened with heat and something far more primal.
By the time Sophia slumped, breathless and dazed, in his arms, her cheeks were glowing red.

Francis’s voice was a strained growl against her temple. “If you weren’t still recovering, I wouldn’t be letting you off that easy.”
Sophia giggled, burying her face against his chest, too flustered to reply.
Up front, the driver kept his eyes fixed on the road, his hands clenched around the steering wheel. I shouldn’t be in the car. I should be under it, he thought grimly.
Sophia stayed in the hospital for a few more days to fully recover, and then she was finally discharged.
During that time, Alpha Lawrence had been relentless–calls, messages, voicemails. But Sophia blocked every number, every app. She never replied to a single word.
They were divorced. There was no reason to stay in their old home, not with Francis

The moment she opened the door, the sight inside made her pause.
Miranda was lounging on the couch like she owned the place, legs crossed, sipping tea.
And beside her, Luna Kayla was giving orders like it was her palace. “This will be Lawrence and Miranda’s marital home from now on. Clean it out properly. Anything that doesn’t belong–just toss it outside. It’s all garbage anyway!”
