Chapter 6
During the intermission of the engagement party, the butler said a Kennedy family helicopter was landing outside.
When everyone rushed over, it was just in time to see Old Mr. Kennedy walking down.
He looked very spirited, leaning on a cane. My father and I went to greet him, and he looked at me.
“As expected of my future granddaughter–in–law, truly graceful and beautiful.”
I wasn’t sure why Old Mr. Kennedy had come at this time, but then I saw Liam Kennedy walking towards me.
The surrounding guests immediately started discussing – could the Kennedy family’s sole grandson really be true?
Old Mr. Kennedy looked at everyone at this moment:
“The reason we didn’t announce earlier was to wait for this joyous day to tell everyone together.”
“This young man is my sole grandson, Liam Kennedy.”
“He will also be the next and only leader of the Kennedy family!”
The guests at the venue immediately erupted in an uproar, their faces instantly changing to fawning and flattering expressions towards Liam Kennedy.
But Liam Kennedy didn’t look at anyone else, just smiling slightly as he extended his hand to me.
“How can an engagement party be missing the groom, right?”
I smiled back, taking his hand and standing beside him.
He still had that pleasant, clean scent, like the summer nights when we used to play in the small town.
Not like the cologne on Ethan that sometimes mixed with Ivy’s heavy perfume, which was quite suffocating.
Liam Kennedy put his arm around my waist and raised a glass to everyone:
“Today is the engagement party for my beloved Aria and me. The Kennedy and Sinclair families will jointly release $500 billion in market
funds. Let’s all celebrate!”
Hearing that amount, everyone present was instantly convinced, raising their glasses to loudly congratulate Liam Kennedy and me.
Those CEOs who used to look down on me and despise me now came over smiling to say hello.
“Mrs. Kennedy, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
I avoided his toast: “Not a pleasure at all. When Oliver Lawrence slapped me earlier, you stood by and did nothing.”
He laughed awkwardly. I continued telling him:
“I’m also the Sinclair heiress. You can just call me Miss Sinclair.”
Liam Kennedy walked over at this moment, gesturing for an assistant to hand me a certain contract.
“Merger of Sinclair inheritance rights? You want to give me all of the half of Sinclair inheritance rights you received?!”
Liam Kennedy smiled and nodded: “This way you’ll be the full heir and leader of the Sinclair family.”
I hadn’t expected Liam Kennedy would do this for me.
When everyone in the venue found out, they became even more respectful towards me. After all, I would be the true decision maker for the

Liam Kennedy and I were toasting guests in the venue when he was about to block a drink for me.
But Ethan suddenly barged in and smashed his glass on the ground.
“Aria Sinclair, didn’t I tell you to quickly get rid of this imposter? You’ve really gotten carried away with this act!”
He glanced at Liam Kennedy and reached for my hand:
“No matter what benefits Aria promised you, your role ends here. Get lost!”
Then he looked at me with an exasperated expression:
“You can’t always be so willful. If you want me to inherit the Sinclair family in the future, you need to be more obedient, understand?”
He turned around, naturally picking up a glass of wine in my fiancé’s name, intending to block drinks for me.
But the guest offering the toast ignored him completely, rushing over to apologize to Liam Kennedy instead.
Ethan was confused. He still thought he was the Sinclair family’s Ethan Grant.
I directly shook off his hand and walked to Liam Kennedy, taking his arm.
“Ethan, ! told you before – when I, Aria Sinclair, say I won’t marry you, I absolutely won’t marry you.”
“Let me formally introduce you – this is my fiancé, Liam Kennedy.”
