I could stare down at Evan from this position. Evan was known as the famous Hades, King of the Underworld, in Juville’s
business world.
He started a company when he was five years old and started high school when he was seven. Then, he went overseas when he was only 12 years old.
By the time he returned to the country when he was 20, he was already well–known in the business world. Rumors said any project he was interested in would be profitable.
Back then, Bobby purposely gave him a company close to bankruptcy as a test, but he made it profitable in less than two years. Then, he rose to the position of Stafford Group’s
president from his initial position as an entry–level employee in less than three years.
Now, he was an overlord in the business world preparing to go international. A powerful man who stood at the top of the hierarchy like him was used to staring down at others. Others wouldn’t even get the chance to stare down at him.
He loosened his grip in less than two seconds, implying that he wanted me to get off of him. I was drunk and high on liquid courage, so I refused to get off. I even tried to kiss him.

When I lowered my head to kiss him, my stomach flipped, and I covered my mouth and immediately rushed to the bathroom. Perhaps it was because I had drank on an empty stomach, but nothing came out when I heaved.
It felt awful. My heart was racing wildly. I smacked my chest to alleviate the discomfort. When I looked up, Evan anded me a
glass of warm water.
“Serves you right for drinking underage!”
How strange. He didn’t sound like he was scolding me, but instead like he was worried about me.

Then, I laughed victoriously. I clung to his arm and stumbled as I walked. I even burped embarrassingly.
Evan was heartless. When he walked over, he pulled out his phone and set a five–minute timer, so I quickly picked up the pace. I hurriedly opened the file and pulled out the forensic
report.
“Uncle Evan, look. I really was framed. I didn’t write the letter, and I didn’t prepare those things. You didn’t even give me a chance to explain that day and just drove away.
“You even blocked my number after that. Do you know how upset I was over the past ten days?” I spoke like I had been. extremely wronged. My eyes teared up like I was about to cry.
After staying silent for a while, Evan spoke. “Julia, I don’t have time to deal with your lovers‘ quarrel with-”
Before he could finish his sentence, I started crying
hysterically. I was inconsolable. I knew he only saw me as a child who was as rash as his nephew. He only used what happened that day as an excuse to avoid me.
After all, from his perspective, I only approached him because I was fighting with Samuel.
I sighed inwardly. It would take time for him to believe that I was sincere. But besides resolving the misunderstanding, I had also came here today for another purpose.
