Chapter 120
“They are not far! Find them!”
And that was Kellan and Jasmine’s cue to run away from their hiding spot. The two of them immediately shifted into their beast form and dashed away.
It was hard to communicate where to go because they couldn’t use mindlink, thus all Jasmine could do was to follow him, yet it was so hard to match up with the lycan’s stamina. He was way too fast for her and it was getting hard to move when your feet buried under the snow.
However, Kellan noticed that and then slowed down, but they didn’t stop until they put a huge distant between them and the
enemy.
At this point, there was no way they would be able to wait for Ethan. They needed to leave him behind.
They ran for three hours before Jasmine gave in, she shifted into her human form, breathing heavily and was very exhausted from all the running.
“I can’t… I can’t move…” Jasmine coughed and Kellan shifted back into his human form as well. He approached Jasmine and looked around him to make sure no one followed them.
“We will take rest for a while,” Kellan said and all Jasmine could muster was a single nod, agreeing with him. They needed to rest. “But, we can’t rest here in the open area.”
“I can’t move…” Jasmine laid down on the cold snow, she couldn’t care less about it anymore, her muscles had been screaming at her, she had never felt this exhausted before.
“Come here.” Kellan knelt down and then put his arms under her body, which made her squealed.
“What are you doing?!” Jasmine instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.
“We can’t stay in the open area, princess.” He carried her with ease, as he walked toward the shades of the tree. He covered their tracks as they walked, though the snow would do the work later.
It was still snowing and as the night grew deeper, the weather became colder and thankfully, they found a small cave that they could use as a shelter.
“We can’t make fire, just in case it will lead them to us,” Kellan explained, as he felt Jasmine’s body shuddered.
“O–okay…” Her teeth were clattering, she pressed her body against him to seek for some kind of heat. She did it without her realizing it. He was rather warm though. “D- don’t you feel cold?”
“Not really,” Kellan admitted.
“It will be nice to have a body like you.”
“You can have my body if you wanted.” Kellan looked down to her and smirked when he saw that faint frown between her brows. “You can have baby too.”
“Keep dream on, big guy…” Jasmine grumbled, but she could feel the vibration in his chest when he let out a boisterous laugh. “I will claw your heart out if you tried anything funny with me.” Jasmine put his hand over his chest to make her point.
“Okay,” Kellan replied lightly, but still laughing. He didn’t take her threat seriously.
Once they were inside the cave, he put her down and then shrugged off his cloak to draped it over her body.
“I am not a monster, okay, so stop giving me that look.” Kellan ruffled her hair like he did with a child and Jasmine growled at him.
If she was not in this shabby state, she would have been mad for someone to touch her hair, but since she was already in a mess, she was only annoyed.
“Sleep, I will take first turn to look out,” Kellan said, as he sat down at the mouth of the cave. This cave was not too deep, thus when Jasmine moved inside, there was only three steps away that separated the two of them.

Chapter 120
Jasmine could see his silhouette in this dimly lit cave and his side profile looked so good. She must be delirious to think like this, therefore, she forced herself to shut her eyes and fell asleep.
However, it was hard to get sleep on the cold, hard ground with the wind howled in your ears and Jasmine couldn’t take it
anymore.
“I can’t sleep, it is too cold,” she said and then sat down. She hugged herself. “The wind is very scary.”
“I think there is an avalanche again somewhere.”
Jasmine grimaced. “I hope the avalanche buried those warriors alive.”
Kellan chuckled. “I don’t know that you have a cruel bone in your body, princess.” He moved closer to her and then raised both of his hands when he saw Jasmine looked defensive. “Don’t bite me, I think you will freeze to death anytime soon.”
Kellan then sat down next to her and immediately Jasmine could feel the warm from his body. She was tempted to lean against him, but she decided not to, her pride was too high and more so… she was embarrassed.
“Oh, please. You hurt my feeling. You look like you are going to choose to freeze to death instead of getting close to me.” Kellan pulled her closer. “I am not going to do anything to you, okay. Unless you wanted to.”
“When all of this is over, I don’t want to see you again,” Jasmine grumbled, but with the warm that exuded from him, she couldn’t deny it.
“When all of this is over, you are going to miss me.”
“Dream on.”
Kellan hissed when Jasmine put her cold feet on top of his, which was a little bit petty of her, but she shamelessly leaned her head against his chest and snuggled closer to him.
Only then, she could fall asleep.
“You look so adorable when you are not angry.”
“Don’t speak, I am trying to get some sleep here. Wake me up when it is my turn to look out.”
Kellan didn’t say anything about it, but the next time he woke her up, it was already morning and it was time for them to move again.
