I tried to get Clara off my mind as I trained but I just couldn’t. I couldn’t stand the idea of her being mad at me.
Why couldn’t she understand that I was doing all this for her sake and our child’s?
“Luca, take over” I ordered as I stepped aside while he came running forward.
“Okay Alpha. Where are you going?” He questioned and I sighed as I took off my glove.
“I’m going to go talk to my wife” I muttered before walking away.
As soon as I stepped a foot into the house, I instantly felt like something was wrong. There was a foreign scent I had never smelt before and it was making all my hairs stand and my wolf restless.
“Clara! Go to Clara” My wolf yelled within and ag that moment, Clara let out a scream and without a second thought, I dashed towards the room.
The smell of blood hit my nose before I even got there but it wasn’t Clara’s and that made me relieved for a second. “Clara!” I yelled as I barged into the room only to see her seated on the bed with her arms wrapped around her body and her eyes wide with fear.
I immediately glanced and made sure no one was already.
“He already left” She muttered softly as I was about to check the bathroom.
I let out a sigh before rushing towards her and wrapping my arms around her body.
“What happened here, Clara? Talk to me. Were you harmed?” I questioned as I checked her body and she shook her head.
“He didn’t harm me, he didn’t want to harm me. He just wanted to send a message across to you. I wouldn’t have been so shaken up, usually I would stand my ground but he wasn’t like any creature I had seen before. He changed into this monster and… and….”
“Shhh, that’s enough. If you don’t want to talk about it then you don’t have to…”
“But I do, Damon. There is a being out there that’s so much worse than my uncle and his group of hunters and he said they’re coming for you. He said I should tell you his name is Sebastian” She uttered and my eyes widened.
If it was the Sebasisan I knew then he was the Lycan King but I doubt his Lycan appearance was what had Clara shaken up
this way.
“Sebastian is a Lycan King. He is potentially a wolf but can stand on two feet. Is that what you saw?” I questioned as I caressed her face and she immediately shook her head.
“He was standing on his two feet and he did look like a wolf but there was something messed up about his appearance, Damon. He looked like the devil. He had horns, scales, I… I..”
“Shh, that’s enough. It’s okay, I understand now” I murmured even though I didn’t. A Lycan with horns and scales? That was something I had never been before.
“What are we going to do? His aura was menacing. If he and my uncle come after you at the same time…”
“I need you to stop worrying, okay? It’s going to be okay. I’m sorry for how I spoke to you earlier, If Thad let you stay and watch then you wouldn’t have encountered Sebastian” I murmured as I slowly wondered about how he was able to get past

“Damon, I’m scared” Clara said to me and I sighed as I pulled back from the hug.
“I won’t let anyone hurt you, Clara”
“I’m more concerned about you, Damon. I don’t want anything to happen to you” She uttered as she stared at me with worry and I chuckled to ease the tension in the air.
“Don’t worry, don’t you trust your husband? They can all try to kill me but I bet you they can’t succeed because I have a beautiful wife waiting for me with our child in her so no matter what, I’ll always come back to her” I said to her before placing a kiss on her lips.
“I love you so much” She murmured and I smiled.
“I love you more” I replied and before Luca walked in, I had already caught his scent.
“What is it?” I questioned before he walked in.
“There’s a situation” He announced and sighed.
“What is it?” Clara questioned and I immediately gave him a look for him to shit his mouth.
“It’s nothing important. Why don’t you rest and…”
“I will not be left in the dark, Damon. Tell me what the problem is now” She commanded and I stared at her for a while before nodding at Luca.
“What is it?”
“According to my Intel, The human hunters are planning to attack immediately. Apparently the humans keep getting killed and every evidence points to you. What do we do now? We are not ready for a war right now” Luca uttered and I growled.
“Don’t say that…”
“With all due respect, it’s the truth. Yes we may have strong men but how many are they? We need to come up solution” Luca uttered and I could already feel the worth rolling of Clara.

“I can talk to my uncle and try to convince him not to attack..‘
“Forget it, Clara. You’re doing no such thing” I interrupted as I turned to her with a frown.

“There are many other ways

“Name one then! Your death? No matter how strong you are, you and this pack cannot withstand the attack of all your enemies. At least if we have my uncle on our side, that would greatly benefit us. He can help us” She tried to convince me but I wasn’t having any of it.
“Oh and how exactly are you going to convince him to help us? He hates our kind, he hates what we are, what you are. What’s the guarantee that he wouldn’t kill you this time around? I questioned as I stared intently into her eyes.
