Chapter 32
Back at the airport, Hazel and Louise accompanied Andrea and me as we prepared to board our flight. As we hugged goodbye, they both promised to visit after the twins were born.
“We’re not missing out on spoiling those babies,” Hazel said with a grin.
“You’d better keep us updated with lots of pictures until then,” Louise added.
Their promises brought a smile to my face. “I’ll hold you to that,” I said, my heart lighter knowing they would be a part of my children’s lives.
As we turned to leave, a familiar voice called out behind us.
“Wait for me!”
To my surprise, it was Minnie, dragging a suitcase behind her.
“Minnie?” I asked, bewildered.

“What’s going on?”
She grinned. “I resigned from the Douglas Group. I’m moving to Italy!”
Andrea raised an eyebrow. “To become a wife?” he teased, referencing the dream Minnie had mentioned before.
Minnie nodded with mock seriousness. “Exactly! It’s time to go to my Italian prince.”
We all laughed, and Andrea and I welcomed her to our journey with open
arms.
Years passed, and the life I built in Italy became everything I had ever dreamed of.
Andrea and I grew together, our love deepening with every painting, every shared success.
As a painter couple, our exhibitions became highly anticipated events, drawing admirers from around the world.
Our twins, bright and full of life, brought a

vibrancy to our home that words could
never capture.
They were our muses, often joining us in the studio, their laughter echoing through the space as we worked.
Hazel and Louise visited often, their bond with us and our children growing stronger with each visit.
Minnie found her own happiness in Italy, eventually marrying Andrea’s friend who took a bouquet on our wedding with her, a match we all celebrated with joy.
Looking back, the chapter I left behind in Providence felt like a distant memory, a story that had shaped me but no longer defined me.
My life with Andrea, our children, and our art was the masterpiece I had always
wanted to create.
And for the first time, I felt like the artist of my own destiny, painting a future filled
with love, laughter, and boundless
