Chapter 25
Talia clutched a pillow in her arms, her back turned to Clifford, not saying a word or giving him their usual goodnight kiss.
Just a moment ago, Clifford had asked Kyla. It turned out that Eddie had indeed ordered that Talia avoid the banquet. So, the reason Talia had returned so late was because of his family.
Clifford regretted the way he had questioned her earlier. “I had no idea about Grandpa’s arrangements,” he said.
Talia didn’t respond or move, ignoring him completely
Clifford knew she wasn’t asleep and that she was still mad at him. ‘She’s got quite a temper; not so easy to soothe, he thought.
Clifford’s hand hovered mid–air, wanting to pat her and break the tension between them.
But Talia was wearing a backless nightgown, exposing a good portion of her back and slender waist, which felt a little too much like he was taking advantage of the situation,
Considering how young and naive Talia was, Clifford decided to hold back eventually.
The night passed in silence.
The next morning, they had breakfast together. Talia’s appetite caught Clifford slightly off guard, and he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy for her.
Clifford had heard that Talia got separated from her family when she was young and had to live in a remote e village. The conditions there were probably harsh, and she likely went hungry often.
With that in mind. Clifford pushed the coffee in front of him toward Talia. “If you like it, have more. If it’s not enough, the chef can make some

Talia looked at the coffee, which belonged to Clifford originally. Is this his way of apologizing she thought.
Now. Talia felt a bit guilty herself. After all, she wasn’t exactly easy to deal with either.
Therefore, Talia accepted Clifford’s gesture gladly and said. “Alright, then thank you
Talia thought, If you’re not excited about food, what’s wrong with your
Meanwhile, an incident on the campus forum was causing quite a stir.
The news hit like a bombshell, sparking various opinions among the students.
Talia Licks her dad, and Sandra trolls her sister. Neither of them is easy to handle)
[I can’t believe it. Sweet and gentle Sandra actually has a dark side.]
[Now I’m scared. What if I cross her, and she starts attacking me from behind?]
Talia made the first mistake. Sandra just stood up for her dad; nothing wrong with that.
Would you be friends with someone who trolls their own sister online?
The conversation made people think, putting themselves in different shoes.
Walking into the classroom, Shana and Yvonne rushed to Sandra immediately and asked, “is what’s on the forum true?”
Sandra feigned ignorance. “What are you talking about?”
“You better lake a

yourself, Yvonne replied.
Sandra opened the forum, and there it was her payment records to the online troll who had harassed Talia, plastered all over the screen.
And the comments below were filled with doubts and critician against her. Sandra felt like she’d been struck by lightning; her mind went blank

How could these things end up on the forum after just one night? It must be Taliaf Sandra thought.
“Is it true, Sandra?” Yvonne pressed, not giving up
A lie often requires countless other lies to cover it up. Even though Sandra was seething with anger, she chose to admit it wisely. “Yes, it’s true”
Sandra continued, her voice trembling with emotion, “But do you know why? After my dad got kicked by her, he was in so much pain he couldn’t even get up for days.
“He’s my dad, almost sixty years old, suffering like that. How could I not feel heartbroken?
“I was pushed to do it. It wasn’t wrong. Even if you choose to distance yourselves from me, I don’t regret harassing her online, even though she’s my
Tears streamed down Sandra’s face as she finished, making her speech all the more moving.
ld get angry if their father were hurt and would seek justice.
Anyone would get angry
Yvonne took out a tissue and wiped Sandra’s tears gently. “Sandra, don’t cry. You had every reason to troll Talia. We would never push you away because of this”
ent. The one in the wrong is Talia, not you. We can still tell right from wrong.
Shana nodded in agreement.
“Don’t worry, and we’ll always be by your side. We’ve got your back.” Shana added.
Hearing this, Sandra looked at both of them with teary eyes, deeply moved. Then she said. “Shana, Yvonne, I’m so lucky to have friends like you.”
“There’s no need to say that between us, Shana replied.
“Tve already got the expert here. This afternoon, we’ll make sure Talia pays” Yvonne declared.
Sandra wiped away her tears, sneering inside secretly. Talia, you’re not even qualified to go up against me
Does she really think exposing my online harassment would ruin my reputation? She’ll see that my reputation isn’t that easily tarnished, Sandra Thought
That прод after lunch. Sandra blocked Talia’s way on the playground to confront her in front of everyone.
Talia, you posted that on the forum, didn’t you?” Sandra called our fudly, making sure everyone around could hear.
People stopped in their tracks, looking over at Sandra and Talia. Within a minute, they were surrounded by several layers of onlookers.
“Do you dare to admit it?” Yvonne snapped coldly.
Sandra confronting her publicly was a bit unexpected. Talia smiled calmly and resorted, “So, you’re admitting that you hired a troll to harass me?”
At this time, Yvonne stepped forward. “So what if she did! For someone like you who would kick her father, getting trolled is a relief for everyone.”
Shana chimed in. “You made the first mistake. Sandra was just heartbroken and stood up for her dad. It’s completely reasonable”
“Besides, you just got scolded online. But your father was physically attacked,” Shana said as if it was the most logical argument.
“Let me ask you, have you ever been harassed online? Do you know what it feels like!” Talia shot back, showing no mercy. “If you can’t empathize, what gives you the right to judge me!”
Sandra’s face turned pale. She wanted to say something but was cut off.
“Come on, what now? Not satisfied? How about a one–on–one?” Talia sneered. She didn’t have the energy to argue with all three of them.
Sandra’s goal was to provoke the crowd into standing up for her and attacking Talia verbally. But Talia wouldn’t fall for it
Everyone knew how to hurl insults, but would they really light for Sandral Not necessarily.
Talia’s words silenced the onlookers, leaving them feeling a little embarrassed.
At that moment, a guy stepped out from the crowd. He was around live–seven, with an ordinary face. The guy’s name was Austin, a sophomore and one of Sandra’s devoted admirers.
“You’ve got a big mouth, huh? Think you’re so to
“re so tough? How about yego a few rounds?” Austin challenged.

A flash of satisfaction crossed Sandra’s face, but she masked it with concern quickly. “Austin, this is between my sister and me. Besides, you’re a guy. and she’s a girl. That wouldn’t be right.”
“Sandra, you don’t need to say anything. I can’t stand how she’s treating you. This time, I’m stepping in for sure, Austin replied firmly
