Alpha Albert’s mother tapped Alpha Albert on his shoulder with her cane, urging him on.
“I’ve always liked Sini, such a good child,” she continued. “And now, it just so happens that her mate rejected her.”
Her words pulled everyone back to the previous full moon night.
That night was Sini’s eighteenth birthday.

Before Sini and Alpha Albert could explain, the man turned to the moon and slowly made his request.
“I, Eric, reject you, Sini, from being my mate.”
Upon hearing Eric’s words, Sini’s legs buckled, and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.
Once Eric finished speaking, he glanced at Alpha Albert, sneering.

Eric finished speaking and turned to leave the pack.
At that moment, Sini clung to Alpha Albert tightly, her voice choked with emotion.

“I’m here” – such a bitter phrase, especially when it echoed after abandoning his mate at home on the night of the full moon, only to go out and comfort another Omega.
