Chapter 8
In the picture, we smiled brightly, my eyes full of love for Alpha Albert.
Alpha Albert placed the photo back into the drawer, but something else caught his attention.
It was a dark leather–bound notebook.
He took it out and opened it.
It was my diary, starting from the day I became Alpha Albert’s mate.
Alpha Albert began to read my words.
“Today is my eighteenth birthday. I can’t believe the Moon Goddess made me Alpha Albert’s mate. This is my tenth year loving

him. Thank you, Moon Goddess.”
“Alpha Albert told me to be his Luna. We will manage the pack together. I’ll protect the pack and everyone well.”
“Today, I went to the movies with Alpha Albert. Being the pack’s alpha must be exhausting, but he still wanted to go with me. I’m so happy. We even took a photo together. I want to watch movies with Alpha Albert for the rest of my life.”
“Why do people look at me so strangely when they see Alpha Albert with Sini? I asked Alpha Albert, and he said it’s just because they’ve known each other since childhood. He only thinks of Sini as a sister.”
“I believe Alpha Albert.”

“Protecting the pack and patrolling are really boring.”
“But if it helps Alpha Albert, I’m happy.”
“Today, Alpha Albert called me Sini.”
The diary ended abruptly. Compared to the neat handwriting at the beginning, the last entry was marked with faint traces of tears.
When Alpha Albert put down my diary, his tears flowed uncontrollably.
“Luna,” he whispered, “I miss you so much.”
But in this vast room, no one would answer

him anymore.
On Sunday, Alpha Albert still didn’t go to the movies with Sini. He hid himself in his room, reading my diary again and again.
In the end, it was his parents who came to pull him out of his despondent state.
“Alpha Albert,” his mother said, her face full of frustration and anger, “Why didn’t you go to the movies with Sini? She waited for your all afternoon.”
Alpha Albert raised a hand to shield his face and whispered, “I will only go to the movies with Luna.”
Who that Luna was, was all too clear.
Furious, his mother struck Alpha Albert with
her cane.

“If you really loved her, how could you do that to her?”
Alpha Albert clenched his fists, but in the end, he let them fall.
He didn’t deserve to say “I love her.”
The things he had done to me unfolded before him.
What had he done?
He had hurt me, broken my arm, cut off my tongue.
“I just didn’t want her to leave me,” he retorted.
His mother continued to strike him with the
cane.

“But she still left you. It was only your possessiveness. Go ahead and bond with Sini. That way, you won’t keep thinking of her.”
After saying this, his parents left.
Alpha Albert stood there, dazed. Bonding with Sini?
The thought crossed his mind for a moment but was immediately rejected.
Because in his mind, he saw the image of us getting married.
I stood in a wedding dress, looking at Alpha Albert as I said “I do.”
Recently, Alpha Albert felt like he saw me more than once, but I would disappear just

as quickly.
“Luna!”
After I vanished once more, Alpha Albert finally realized something.
