Chapter 10
My gravestone was surrounded by flowers sent by everyone. Alpha Albert walked up to it and placed the bouquet on top.
“Luna, I miss you so much.”
Though there were a thousand things he wanted to say, the words caught in his throat, swallowed before they could escape.
Alpha Albert sat beside my gravestone and pulled out my journal.
He began reading my diary, one entry after another.
From the rising sun to the hanging moon.
Before leaving, Alpha Albert took one last

long look at my gravestone.
“Luna, I’ll come see you again tomorrow.”
But after he had gathered the flowers, his eyes fell upon the words on the gravestone.
“Alpha Albert’s first Luna.”
A wave of unknown anger surged in Alpha Albert’s heart.
He knew it would be an intrusion, but he needed an answer.
“Why is it written like this?” Beta James asked, smiling as he patted Alpha Albert on the shoulder. “Come on, bro, I’m waiting for good news from you and Sini.”
Before Beta James could finish speaking, Alpha Albert’s fist already landed on his face.

“I only have one Luna, and she… she’s gone now.”
Alpha Albert grabbed Beta James by the collar and shouted.
But by the end, his voice cracked with a hint of tears.
Alpha Albert let go of Beta James, his voice cold as he ordered, “Tomorrow, replace Luna’s gravestone with one that says ‘Alpha Albert’s only Luna.”
Beta James furrowed his brows, displeased. “Alpha Albert, you’re crazy. You don’t even have children yet. If you give up on Luna, what about the next Alpha?”
Alpha Albert simply replied, “Then you can take over.”

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving behind a simple, “I’ll visit the cemetery after my patrol tomorrow.”
That night, Alpha Albert had a dream.
In the dream, he didn’t call me Sini, nor did he insult me. For the first time, he truly understood his own heart.
We were happy, living a peaceful life together. Soon after our marriage, we had our own child.
We watched our little one grow, until he fully took over the pack.
My eyes had gained a few wrinkles, but I still looked at him with nothing but love.
“Alpha Albert, once our child finds their mate,

we can travel the world, just like your parents did.”
Alpha Albert held my hand, smiling, and agreed, “Yes, my Luna.”
“Luna!”
Alpha Albert suddenly woke up, but there was no trace of me beside him.
Finally, Alpha Albert couldn’t hold it back any longer, and tears–large as raindrops–began streaming down his face.
“Luna, I miss you so much. Truly!”
It wasn’t until the pack warriors came to remind him of his patrol that he managed to regain his composure and stop his tears.
Once the patrol was over, Alpha Albert

eagerly bought flowers to visit me.
“Luna.”
Alpha Albert placed the flowers in front of my tombstone.
The tombstone had been replaced by Beta James, now reading, “Alpha Albert’s One and Only Luna”
For several days, after each patrol, Alpha Albert would buy a bouquet of flowers and read my diary at my grave.
When he finished the last entry, Alpha Albert handed over all matters of the pack to Beta James and his mate.
“What are you planning to do?” Beta James‘ instincts screamed that something monumental was about to unfold.

“Nothing” Alpha Albert glanced up at the moon, smiling as he said, “I just miss my Luna.”
The next day, pack warriors discovered a dead body at the far edge of the pack territory. It was Sini, her body covered with numerous wounds. The hospital report confirmed her death was caused by a wild animal attack.
On the third day, pack warriors found Alpha Albert’s lifeless body at home.
Beside him was a suicide note, with only a few brief lines:
“Luna, I miss you so much. If there’s a next life, I’ll choose you to be my mate again.”
