Chapter 30
Desperate and helpless, Asteria begged again, her voice cracking with fear.
“Please, don’t hurt me. I have money…….. I can give you everything.”
She tried to steady herself, but her body trembled uncontrollably, her fear raw and palpable.
Tears slipped from her eyes, tracing a path down her face, falling onto the man‘ s hand.
She felt his grip tighten as he flinched, almost as if afraid she might slip away.
Asteria didn’t dare to make a move, her mind scrambling for any possible escape.
Suddenly, the streetlight flickered.
In that brief flash, Asteria glimpsed the moon tattoo on his chest.
Her breath hitched in disbelief.

“Primo?” she asked, her voice barely more
than a whisper.
He froze at the sound of her voice, his entire body stiffening in recognition.
Asteria’s mind finally snapped into place as she recognized the man before her. With a surge of strength, she shoved Primo away and, confirming it was truly him, slapped him hard across the face.
“Primo, are you out of your mind? What do you want from me? You lunatic! You’re
worse than an animal!”
The slap left half of his face burning red.
Yet, instead of anger, Primo smiled, his gaze softening as he gently took Asteria‘ s hand, blowing lightly on it.
“Asteria, please don’t be afraid. I would never hurt you.”
“I just want to take you home…”
Primo had lost everything.

The lover he’d clung to for eight years. was a lie, and the Chromos Group he‘ d fought so hard to build was on the brink of abandoning him.
Only Asteria’s feelings had ever been real in this cold, unforgiving world.
Without her, he was nothing.
And so, he needed her. He only wanted her.
Asteria recoiled from his touch, her disgust clear as she glared at him, her eyes filled with hatred.
After all these years, she knew all too well Primo was as stubborn as they came.
But she had never imagined he would become so obsessive, so completely deranged.
Asteria nearly collapsed against the wall, her body trembling from the terror that had nearly paralyzed her moments ago.
Tears, heavy with fear, slowly slid down her cheeks.

Primo’s heart twisted in pain.
He had never wanted to hurt Asteria, nor had he meant to frighten her.
The news that the board was preparing to oust him had shattered him today.
In his frustration, he sought solace in alcohol, and under its influence, his
yearning for Asteria reached an unbearable peak.
Unable to control himself, he just had to see her again.
“Asteria… I’m sorry. Come back with me. Let’s forget the past and start fresh, alright?”
“Look at how dangerous the world is out there. Only I can keep you safe.”
“I’ve made up my mind. I’ll take care of Yesha. I never truly loved her; I was just lost, confused after being held back for so long…”
Asteria nodded, trying to comfort him

while quietly typing a distress message to Isabelle on her phone.
She didn’t dare provoke Primo, fearful that he might snap and do something irreversible.
But when he heard her words, a flicker of hope ignited in his chest.
He gazed at Asteria, his eyes wide with childlike yearning.
“Okay, okay. Asteria, as long as you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I’ll wait for you, no matter how long it takes.”
Asteria’s voice was gentle as she replied,
“It won’t take too long…”
Not long after, Isabelle arrived, her presence commanding, with people following close behind.
