“I’ve been thinking about him,” Sabrina’s mother admitted. “I know you‘ re happy, and I can tell he truly cares for you. But I wanted to know more about his involvement with your company during those tough months.
Sabrina smiled. “Jayden‘ s firm helped us when things were looking dire. His people made sure the company didn’t fall apart when we were facing financial difficulties. I had no idea at the time, but now I see just how much he’s been looking out for us. He didn’t have to do that, but he did.”
Her mother’s eyes softened. She had always been cautious when it came to people and their motives, but hearing this only deepened her trust in Jayden.
“That’s exactly the kind of man he is. He has integrity, Sabrina. He didn’t need to help us, but he did it because he believed

As they spoke, Sabrina’s mother‘ s thoughts shifted to Harvey and Nicolas. She had been kept informed of their attempts. to contact Sabrina, but she remained unimpressed. After everything that had happened, how could they think they still had a place in her daughter’s life? Sabrina had suffered enough, and these two men were a part of that painful past. “I heard about their request to meet with you,” Sabrina’s mother said, her voice
stern. “Don’t even consider it. Sabrina. After everything they ve done to you, there’s no reason to allow them back into your life. You’ve moved on, and it’s time they accepted that.”
Sabrina felt a surge of gratitude for her mother’s protective instincts. “I won t let them near me, Mom. I promise.”
Her mother’s tone softened. “Good. You deserve better. And Jayden–he’s the better choice. I’ve known him for years, and I trust him completely. He’s always been there when needed, and he’s
respected by so many. His family s financial firm is one of the most prominent abroad, but that’s not what matters. What
matters is how he treats you.”
Sabrina smiled, feeling a wave of warmth. spread through her. “I’m lucky to have him, Mom. I really am.”
Sabrina’s mother paused for a moment.

before adding. “I think Jayden is the best thing to happen to you. He’s a good man, and I’m proud to know him.”
