Memories flooded Rebecca’s mind and the pain was so overwhelming that she couldn’t stand up.
Floyd moved to help her, but the man in the black robe stopped him. “She has to recover those memories on her own. Once she remembers. I can switch their souls back. Don’t you want to see your lover alive again?”
Floyd finally withdrew his hand, his face filled with concern as he gazed at Lumina.
At this moment. Rebecca could hear nothing. The fragmented scenes from the past that had appeared sporadically in her mind now came together to form a complete picture. It felt as though her memories were being shattered and reassembled.
And it seemed like she had finally remembered.

She had made a deal with the Spirit of Gravenwood here. The Spirit of
Gravenwood had used its last bit of
strength to save her and gave her all its memories. The only price for this was that she had to marry Grant on its behalf.
So now, she was both Lumina and Rebecca.
The man in the black robe seemed to see straight into her thoughts. His cold voice rang out again, “It seems Ms. Shields has remembered everything.

Struggling, she turned her gaze to Floyd. “Even if you force my soul back into this body, I can never love you again. The only person I love is Grant!”
“No! That’s not true!” Floyd’s voice
trembled with emotion as he looked at her.
“The master said that once you return to your original body, Rebecca’s memories. will fade. You think you love Grant, but it’s just the influence of those memories. Without them, Grant will be nothing more. than a stranger to you.”
“Moony, I know I made many mistakes in the past, but I swear I will change. Please, give me another chance. Please.”
The wind in the forest picked up, growing stronger and Lumina felt as if her very soul was being torn apart.

Overcome by the pain, she cried out in anguish, “No, I don’t want this! I only want to be with Grant. I promised him, I came here for him and I will never leave him!”
Hearing his beloved’s heart consumed with thoughts of another man, Floyd felt as though his heart was being shredded.
Why? Why wouldn’t Moony give him another chance?
Did Moony truly hate him this much?
In that moment, the wind in the forest seemed to stop and the man in the black robe furrowed his brow, muttering to himself, “I never imagined it would be a soul split in two.”
Floyd was stunned. “What does that mean?”
The black–robed man explained, “It means that Lumina and Rebecca share a single soul. To put it simply, Lumina and Rebecca are the same person. They have the same habits, the same personality, even similar

“Then what do we do now?” Floyd asked.
“The soul that once resided here could have been easily separated, but now, the situation is different. If Ms. Shields refuses, I will have no choice but to forcibly rip her soul from this body. But if that happens, the soul could be shattered. And if that occurs, both Ms. Shields and Ms. Woods may not survive.”
