Chapter 30
Floyd stood frozen, completely stunned. He couldn’t bear the thought of Lumina loving another man, but at the same time, he couldn’t stand by and watch as she might die.
Just then, an unusual sound broke the silence of the forest–Grant had arrived.
“Grant!” At the sight of him, Rebecca couldn’t help but cry out.
Before Grant could get close, the man in the black robe pressed a knife to her throat.
“No! Don’t hurt Beckie!” Floyd shouted, his voice desperate.
The black–robed man ignored him entirely, his
gaze locking onto Floyd instead. “Mr. Stuart, make your decision quickly. Once
time passes, even if you change your mind, it will be too late.”

Floyd remained silent, but it was Grant who spoke first, his voice full of emotion. “Beckie, I don’t want you to die. Even if you no longer remember me, even if you no longer love me, I just want you to be happy.”
“I… I can’t bear the pain of losing you again.” Tears streamed down Grant‘ s face as he finished speaking.
Rebecca, however, shook her head in torment. “But if I forget you, I won’t be happy. If it’s just to live like that, I’d rather die!”
With those words, Lumina pulled a shard of glass from her waist.
It was a shard she had picked up after pretending to fall when she got out of the car. One side of the shard was unusually sharp, capable of easily cutting her throat.
In that moment, Floyd was struck by a pain so intense that he could barely breathe.
He had always known that Lumina hated

refine it, my power will break through to new heights!”
The wind in the forest grew even colder and the black–robed man tightened his grip on Lumina’s neck, preparing to bite down.
A gunshot rang out through the woods.
The next moment, a stream of blood flowed from the black–robed man’s forehead and he collapsed, his body going limp as he fell to the ground.
Grant rushed over and pulled Lumina into his arms, holding her tightly.
At that moment, the sniper who had been hiding in the forest finally revealed
himself.
In truth, Grant had suspected something was off ever since Floyd first appeared at the Saunders Family estate.
Since Rebecca hadn‘ t said anything, however, he hadn’t pressed her. He

Three days later, Rebecca and Grant’s wedding was held once more.
Surrounded by their family and friends, they exchanged wedding rings, pledging
themselves to each other.
Amidst the cheers and applause, she and Grant shared a long and sweet kiss.
Meanwhile, in the intensive care unit, Floyd lay beside Lumina‘ s body.
After leaving Mount Gravenwood, Lumina’s body had begun to deteriorate at an alarming rate. It was the unmistakable sign of death.
Yet, Floyd still hadn‘ t chosen to bury her. Instead, he tended to her daily, carefully wiping her body, doing his best to make Lumina look clean and beautiful.
On this day, he had specially dressed her in a wedding gown and prepared a new suit for himself as the groom.
In fact, he had prepared this long ago.

And so, he lay quietly beside Lumina,
slowly injecting the contents of a syringe
into his veins.
“Moony, I’m coming to be with you.”
