Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Third Person’s POV
On the way to drive Chrisley back to her house, Keith couldn’t focus.
The desire he’d just satisfied with her left a bitter aftertaste.
For the first time, regret started to creep in.
He’d always hidden his true intentions, showering Reese with affection to keep up appearances.
At least back then, he believed she was happy.
But when everything was out in the open, all he felt was fear.
Fear that she might really leave him.
He slammed his foot on the gas, pushing the car faster and faster.
All he wanted was to get Chrisley home so

“Keith, what the heck are you doing? Slow the hell down!”
She gripped the handle, panic in her voice as they swerved past several cars.
But her shout didn’t faze him. Instead, he floored the gas pedal.
“Ahh!” she screamed in fear as the car came to an abrupt, screeching stop. The force nearly sent her head into the dashboard.
“Are you insane?!” she yelled. “Gosh, you scared the hell out of me! I thought we were gonna crash!”
She was still in shock, her chest was heaving violently, and her face was pale.
Keith took a deep breath, steadying himself. Then he turned to her, his voice cold and firm as he said, “Call a cab. I have something urgent to do.”
“What?” She stared at him, her beautiful eyes wide in disbelief. “You’re telling me to

take a cab? Are you insane? It’s the middle of the night! What if a paparazzo sees me? Or worse, a crazy fan harasses me?!”
After that, her nostrils flared, and she
crossed her arms in refusal. But Keith’s expression stayed stony.
“Out. Now.” There was no room for argument in his voice as if he had made up his mind.
“What something urgent are you going to do?!” she snapped. “Let me guess–it’s about her, isn’t it? That woman? She’s just my stand–in, Keith! Why do you care so much?”
She saw the worried expression on his face and couldn’t help but get even furious.
“In a year and a half, my contract’s done, and she’s gone. Why are you acting like she’s worth anything?!”
Her sharp words only made his regret deepen as he realized that Reese was indeed just a stand–in.
