George’s desire to see Hazel was at an all–time high. Anyone trying to stop him would be out of their mind.
After wrapping up her work, Hazel rubbed her temples and glanced at the clock. It was already ten o’clock.
She had publicly put Bianca in charge of the production department, but that was just for show. For something this important, she had to handle it herself. She monitored the progress daily and even visited the factory to see what needed improvement. So much time had already been lost, and now there was no room for mistakes.
Because of this, she had broken her promise to visit George at the hospital every day. She hadn’t seen him for three whole days.
Hazel thought she could leave work early today, but she got delayed again. She wondered what George was up to and hesitated before sending him a text.
Hazel: Are you resting?||
She got an immediate reply.
George: Not yet
It was like George had been waiting for her message. Hazel’s lips curved into a slight smile, imagining George’s actions and expressions at that moment.
