Goodbye, My Heartless Alpha 3

Goodbye, My Heartless Alpha 3

Chapter

It hit me suddenly: with my decision to leave now within reach, none of this mattered

anymore.

After I turned him down that night, Alpha Waldo

froze. His body went rigid, like a wolf caught midhowl. His pride, ever the dominant force

wouldn’t let him ask why I’d rejected him

Instead, he muttered a quiet, Okay, and rolled

over

That night, the distance between us felt as vast as the Milky Way

The next morning, I woke to find the bed empty. , Typical. Maybe he was off sulking, worried I’d

  • spiral into jealousy over Alanna. Not a chance

On the dining table, however, was a surprise: a plate of slightly burnt toast, a fried egg, and a glass of milk

Alpha Waldo wasn’t exactly the culinary type

A rare gesture from someone who had never once made breakfast for me

Next to the plate was a sticky note that read: For my Lunaenjoy.”

My phone buzzed with a message

Alpha Waldo: Honey, I’ve put the wedding dress in the study. Try it on and send me a photoI know you’ll look the most beautiful

The most beautiful, huh? Funny, I thought, considering Alanna probably tried it more than once already

I sighed, finishing the toast (a little charred but edible) before heading to a stationery store. I bought a countdown calendar. Back home, I tore off the first page: six days left

I started packing

The den was first. I cleared out framed photos, books we’d shared, and papersevery last trinket of our socalled love story. As I placed the final item in a box, a diary slipped out

I hesitated, flipping through pages filled with happy memoriesdates, anniversaries, silly things we’d done. The paper had yellowed, but

the moments felt fresh, almost biting

A lump rose in my throat, but I pushed it down. I left the diary behind

The wedding dress was next. It hung in the study, taunting me like an enemy wolf daring me to flinch. Unable to resist, I grabbed a pair of scissors and shredded the dress into ribbons. Each slice was quick, precise, and emotionless

It felt oddly satisfying

Not stopping there, I listed every extravagant gift Alpha Waldo had ever given me online— free to anyone willing to pay for shipping. By the time I finished, most of it was sold. A courier was scheduled for pickup the next day

Later, my phone buzzed again, reminding me of tickets to the immersive play I’d bought months ago. Back then, I’d imagined we’d attend together

I didn’t even bother asking if Alpha Waldo was still coming. As I got ready to leave, a message pinged through

Alpha Waldo: Too busy with packwork tonight. Don’t wait for me for dinner

Work. Sure

I rolled my eyes and went alone. I didn’t get frontrow tickets, so my seat was on the right aisle, not too close to the stage. The play was incrediblea heartwrenching love story about life and death. By the end, I was in tears

When the play neared its end, the actors began interacting with the audience. A giant screen lit up, announcing a random audience member had been selected for interaction. The screen revealed Alpha Waldo’s face

But He wasn’t alone. Alanna sat beside him

Oh, so Packworkmeant accompanying Alanna. They had the privilege of frontrow seats. The spotlight shone on them as they looked perfect togetherAlpha Waldo, sharp and handsome; Alanna, radiant and elegant

The actors approached, asking if they were a couple. Alanna giggled, leaning into his arm before he could answer

Then, in a move straight from the play’s final scene, the actor asked if they would kiss deeply to symbolize the depth of their connection, their

fate as a mate

The audience roared with excitement

Alanna, never one to miss the spotlight, tilted her head and kissed him. Her lips brushed his, the moment displayed for everyone to see

Alpha Waldo froze

For a second, he looked like a wolf caught in a trap. Then he flinched, stepping back and breaking the kiss

Our eyes met across the theater

I felt nothing. No anger, no sadnessjust a strange sense of liberation

Breaking his gaze, I grabbed my bag and left

As I reached the exit, hurried footsteps sounded

behind me

Valerie!Alpha Waldo called, his voice urgent

I turned, arching a brow as he approached, hair disheveled and breath coming fast. What

now?”

It’s not what it looked like,he said, panting. couldn’t embarrass her in front of everyone. You understand, right?”

Uhhuh.I nodded, my tone neutral

His brow furrowed. Are you saying that because you mean it, or are you jealous?”

I couldn’t help itI laughed. Jealous? Of what

”

Just then, Alanna burst out of the theater, wobbling in her heels. She called after him, but in her rush, she tripped
