Q3
I had expected Heidi to cause trouble, but I didn’t expect her to slip up so quickly.
I was counting inventory when Felicity rushed over to me.
She was sweating all over and grabbed my arm, pulling me forward eagerly.
I didn’t understand what was happening.
Felicity was panting and, in a hurry, to explain everything to me.
I soon found out that Heidi had caused a scene at the restaurant.
I was shocked, thinking of the big order I lost in my past life.
In my previous life, Heidi, taking advantage of her connection to me, had caused trouble in the kitchen. That was bad enough.
But the worst part was that she hit a customer.
When I rushed to the scene, there was nothing but a mess. Heidi was sitting there crying.
Before I could even question her, I got a phone call from the customer. They said they were canceling their order.
That customer was a regular. They always came here for company team–building meals.
Especially during Christmas, they booked several private rooms at my restaurant for their
gatherings.
life.
Because of Heidi, I lost over one hundred thousand dollars in a day.
I was furious. I used the opportunity to fire her.
That was the moment when Heidi completely hated me.
I thought that by having Felicity keep an eye on her, I could avoid the disasters from my past
But I never expected Heidi to be so troublesome.
Locking her in the kitchen wasn’t enough. She made her way to the front.
My mind was buzzing with worry.
When I finally caught up with Felicity, I saw that Heidi was standing in front of my biggest
customer, Carrie Thackray.
Carrie was mad, her hand trembling as she pointed at Heidi.
Heidi didn’t care.
She even scoffed at Carrie, “Who do you think you are? Just because you have some money, do you think you can talk down to me? Let me tell you, this restaurant is run by my brother’s wife. I decide what you eat here. If you can, go open your own restaurant.”
I was shocked. “Does Heidi even realize what she is saying? How dare she speak to Carrie like
that?”
I rushed over to intervene, but before I could get closer, Heidi picked up the leftover food the table and dumped it on Carrie’s head.
Carrie was a businesswoman.
Every strand of her hair was meticulously styled.

With that bowl of leftover soup, she turned into a drenched mess.
The soup was boiling, mixed with vegetable leaves, was splashed all over her.
Carrie screamed in shock.
I rushed forward and slapped Heidi across the face.

I snapped, “What do you think you are doing? Is this how you treat customers? And what are you doing out here? Your job is in the kitchen. Now apologize to Carrie.”
