Von’s POV

I awoke with a groan

A pain beat at the back of my skull, a hand reached for the side of my head, trying to calm the pain. Slamming my eyes closed against the bright light threatening to burn into my retinas, I tried to find my center. Only there was none. All I could think about was the pounding in the back of my skull, which was literally shaking my brain

Fuck

What’d happened

Pushing out at the comforts of the soft bed beneath me, I moved to an upright position and swung my legs over the edge of the bed. Only in the midst of climbing out of the bed I instantly froze, knowing that something was very wrong. A bed? How did I get into a bed! I didn’t have the foggiest clue as to whard happened, but there was no way in hell I should be in one. The last thing I remembered was standing in the doorway of that office, staring at Alpha Kadden lost to his pain. What followed those moments

Coming to stand on legs that felt like cooked spaghetti noodles they were so weak, I had to grab the bedside table. I took several deep breaths in order to collect myself, feeling as weak as a kitten at that moment. My mind was spinning with the reality of waking up in the bed, plagued by uncertainty and confusion. As I stood there trying to regain my balance I couldn’t miss the black curtains on the window or the burgundy carpet. Definitely not mine. My bedroom back in Elk Springs had a more dark theme, as every inch was black, even the sheets

My earlier belief of having headed back home dashed on the wind, I tried to come to some sort of understanding. Where was II immediately knew the bedroom I’d woken up to the inside of didn’t belong to anyone in the pack. Not my current pack anyway. There wasn’t a house or bedroom in all of Elk Springs I didn’t have access to at one point or another. I’d seen them all. Being one of the most proficient and skilled warriors among

the pack. Taided them in finding new ways to protect them

Stumbling a few feet away from the bed as my mand spun dizaly in confusion, I tried to make sense of what was going on. When my legs started to buckle beneath me I reached for the edge of the dresser posted in front of me. As my hand gripped onto the edge of the mahogany wood in knocked over the frame sitting there. Gripping onto the frame attempted to right it in its resting place, only to catch a glimpse at the picture. My complexion paled in the face of the smiling woman that could be seen in the picture, horrified. It was Luna Sara Beth. What was Luma NaraBeth’s picture doing…

My thoughts trailed off into silence as it dawned on me there were more pictures gathered around her. All of those in the frames consisted of various different members of the Blood Diamond park. The majority of them consisted of the members of the alpha family, Alpha Kadden, Lara Sarah Beth and the twins. My body started shaking for an entirely different reason then, I thought of the photos in the room. There could only be one reason why these photos could be found in the room, because they were sentimental to the occupant
