Angela’s POV
The existence of Darius father in the world was a danger to our jack. He was ready to sell everything and everyone out even when he was the Alpha of the Pack. Imagine what he would do now that he doesn’t give two shirs about us,
For the past three days, Darius had started investigating how his father was able to communicate with his mysterious stepbrother. Only four people knew of his father’s existence aside from me and Darius, Charles, Azalea, Stanley, and Mason

“Are you okay, Angela? You look deep in thought,” My mom touched my shoulder. I turned to her.

We were at the hospital that afternoon. My mom hadn’t been feeling too well so had to take her to the hospital.

I shook my head. I’m good, mama. I’m just pregnant, 1 announced.
I hadn’t told her yet for different reasons but I realized there was no need to keep the news from her anymore
Her mouth dropped open and her eyes went wide. She stared at me in silence for a few seconds. I couldn’t help laughing. “This is such great news, Angela,” my mom said. She was beaming with great joy and it was good to see her so happy.

“Goodness gracious. I’m so happy for you and Darius,”
“Thanks, mom. I’m glad you’re happy.”
“Of course I’m happy. Don’t be silly. This calls for a celebration
I stopped her. “It doesn’t. Wait until the baby is here. Reina is already feeling bad about the whole pregnancy news,”

“If we can’t have a party, can we at least have dinner with Darius family?”
I smiled, “Sure, dinner wouldn’t hurt but no one would mention the babies since Reina would be present,”
“Don’t spoil this girl to.” she suddenly stopped.
“Did you say babies?”
“Something like that but it’s still a secret. We haven’t told anyone yet.”

She bumped her head like a child and grinned widely at me. “Of course. Of course, she repeated, tapping her feet on the floor.
It was enchanting watching my mom beamed with excitement like that after such long, struggling months. It has been tough on her.
“You can go in for your tests now, Mrs Johnson,” Halle came out from the doctor’s room and directed my mom towards the laboratory.
She took a seat beside me.
“Is her illness serious?” I asked her. Halle shook her head.
“No, it’s nothing serious. We just need to carry out some tests to rule out a few things,” she explained.
“Thanks,”
“When are you coming back for your ultrasound!” She suddenly asked.
That was when it occurred to me that I should’ve gone back to the hospital after a day or two but because Reina already told us I was having twins, nothing the seemed to bother me.

I waited for my mom while Halle went on to attend to other patients. Once my mom was done, we had to wait for like an hour for the results.
Once it was out, we were called in by Halle.
“I thought the male doctor would be attending to us,” I queried.
“Yes, he should’ve been but the issue is a little sensitive. I was thinking we should keep it within ourselves,”
Her statement made me be alarmed for obvious reasons.
“What’s going on, Halle?” My mom asked and I looked at her. She was in a panic state.
“I promise it’s not life–threatening. So, please take a seat first,”
My mom and I sat down. “We ran a few tests to rule out some things that we thought could be wrong and only one test came back positive. It’s a rare case but we’ve seen it happen a few times,
