Chapter 129
Darius‘ POV
I made a promise to Angela FIVE years ago when our twins were born to keep looking for our daughter and five years later, I still kept that promise.
Looking back, I’d never imagined I would look for Reina this long. As each year passed, Angela and I kept on wondering what our baby girl would look like. We knew she was still alive out there somewhere, we just didn’t know where.
Td sent out letters, emails, and calls to various packs together with her picture but nothing had come back positive about it Instead, we’ve received our fair share of prank calls, fake messages, and sometimes even locations. All of which turned out to be lies but that didn’t stop us. Instead, it motivated us to keep going.
I stared at the picture of my family on my office table. Angela had painted all of us including Reina in the frame and it brought joy to my heart each time I stared at it. It gave me hope that one day my girl would be in that picture and not just as a painting.
A knock resounded on my office door and Azalea walked in.
“Alpha Darius,”
“Azalea, or should I say stepfather–in–law?”
He smirked.
“It’s too complicated. Just call me Gamma Azalea.”
Quite a number of changes have occurred in the pack in the past five years. Charles had become my Beta and Azalea had become my Gamma.
Charles found his mate and left the pack to stay with her the next day. He didn’t even think about it twice before he left his position and responsibility as the Beta and left. Angela said Halle dodged a bullet by choosing her true mate over her fantasy. That is, Jude instead of Charles
Stanley assumed the position of Beta and Azalea retained his position as Gamma. He said he came here to serve with me and not to become the Beta. He believed he would work directly with me as Gamma rather than as the Beta.
Azalea was yet to find his mate and Stanley found his already. Its rather complicated as well and Stanley wasn’t ready for such a commitment. I guess I was surrounded by a bunch of lunatics.
“Someone has something for you, I frowned.
“Regarding what?”
“Reina’s disappearance. He’s one of the Warriors who came into the pack with Alpha Mason weeks before it happened. He left with Mason that night and had stayed at the palace for the past five years so he didn’t really know Reina was missing until he went to see Mason because of some important issues,
I gripped my pen tightly.
“Where is he?”
“He’s just outside,”
“Bring him in,”
I stood up from my seat as a ray of hope suddenly appeared before my eyes. I was itching to find out what he knew.

“Alpha Darius,”
He bowed just as he walked in. His face looked really familiar to me.
“Azalea said you have something to tell me,”
Yes, Alpha. My name is Urial and I’ve been working with the werewolf king for five years. I was here five years ago with Alpha Mason before I left for the palace. I didn’t know you were searching for your daughter. I’m so sorry about that,”
“Thank you. Take a seat, please,”
He took a seat and both Azalea and I did the same.
“I came into the pack back then with an injury so I was being treated at the hospital. I had forgotten some of my belongings at the hospital so the car had to turn back to bring me here to get them. After dropping me off at the gates, I was walking back and I saw a man and a little girl. They were really close to that flower garden. The girl was quite uncomfortable with him but he quickly mentioned the girl was his daughter before could ask them any question. I assumed he was trying to get his daughter out of the rain and left them there,”
I brought out a picture of Reina. “Was this the girl?”
He stared at the picture for a while. “I think it was her but at the same time I can’t be too sure. It’s been five years but as for the man, he had a tattoo on his neck. One of a wolf with a bead
Immediately he mentioned that, I remembered my father had one too on his neck.
Which side of his neck?”
He pointed to the right side. “Right here. I had a torchlight with me that night. He wasn’t wearing a raincoat either,”
“Can you recognize this man?”
He nodded. “His body was found five years ago. It was washed ashore. An incident happened that involved us investigating old, mysterious cases with similar patterns. I saw the picture from the scene and it reminded me of that night. I realized 1 had to talk to Alpha Mason to gain an audience with you,”
“Fuck!” I groaned.
“The way he was killed and the riverbank he was found led us to Ryker. Ryker owned up to killing him but said he did so because he crossed his border without his permission. We don’t think Ryker had an ulterior motive because several others had been killed the same way by him,”
“He was my only lead to finding my daughter and Ryker killed him for a stupid reason,”
“And several others too who are likely innocent. Ryker is currently being tried by the Palace. If we find any information on this man, I’ll let you know,”
“Thank you, Uriel,”
“I live to serve the werewolf kingdom and your pack saved my life five years ago. Lowe you a lot,”
I hummed. Azalea and him left the room. I placed my head on my palm and took a deep breath.
One thing was clear, Reina was kidnapped by someone. The other mystery was how he was able to gain access to my Another mystery was where the hell did he took my girl to?
I picked up my phone and left for home. It was mid–afternoon and I needed to see my family.
As I walked through the front door of the Alpha’s mansion, three cuddle monsters ran towards me.

“Daddy,” the three of them, my twins including Angela’s half–sister, the daughter her mom had all jumped on my neck while I went on to tackle them to the floor.
I began tickling them. They started laughing and screaming.
“Mummy, tell him to stop.” Liam, my son screamed.
Angela came out of the kitchen.
“Really, Alpha Darius,”
“Uncle Daddy is so strong. Brianna, Angela’s half–sister yelled.
“Do you want to be as strong as me!”
“Yes!”
“Yes!”
“Yes, please,” my darling princess Layla added.
“Whoever gets to the top of the stairs first is the strongest,
They all screamed before they dashed off, running up the stairs with their tiny legs and laughing widely.
“It’s never silent in this house,” Angela whined as she worked in the kitchen.
I wrapped my hands around her and buried my head in her neck. I took in her scent.
“I miss you,”
You saw me five hours ago,”
“What!” I yelled and she glared at me. “That was such a long time ago. I deserve to be seeing you every two seconds.”
“Maybe you should retire as the Alpha,”
“That’s a really brilliant idea,”
She laughed. “You were really looking for an excuse to quit, weren’t you? You know we can’t leave. If Reina ever wants to come back home, this is the only home she knows,”
That was the only reason why I was still staying in that pack. I wanted to leave and go on a long vacation with my family but my daughter was still out there. She deserved to come back home and not wait for us any longer.
“Someone came to the pack today. He saw Reina getting kidnapped by a man that night. He thought he was her father until he came across his case file from five years ago. Apparently, he’s dead. Another dead end,”
Angela smiled and lifted my chin. “No. Darius. One way opens up for the new one. This is the start. It’s a good sign. Reina would be back home soon. Soon, Darius,
Soon baby,”
I grabbed her waist and placed my head on her shoulder.
“Have an idea,” She listened diligently. “How about we have another baby while waiting for her to get back?”
She laughed. “No way. I’m done popping out your giants,”
Chapter 129
I laughed with her. Whatever she wanted was what I wanted.
Those cuddle monsters came running down the stairs and began arguing about who got there first and who was the strongest.
I left the kitchen to join them.
“How about we do this? Whoever gets to the room first, arranged the bed, and becomes silent for the next three hours is the strongest.”
They all became silent and I could see those julging eyes, glaring at me.
“We’re not dummies Daddy my daughter answered.
Angela came out of the kitchen
“That didn’t work,”
I groaned. “I swear it didn’t,
“Leave it to me,”
I took a step back and let her take the stage.
I’m going to close my eyes right now. Whoever isn’t in their room, arranging their space and getting some good ole afternoon naps will spend the rest of the afternoon helping me with the onions in the pack’s kitchen,”
Within the blink of an eye, I watched as they all picked up their tiny legs and ran up the stairs.
“What have you done to my kids, Angela?”
“Show them who’s the boss,”
“You are, my love. You’re my best gift and I love you so damn much,”

“Call me Alpha Darius,”
“I’m not ready to get pregnant again,”
“Rein deserves more siblings.”
“Let her deal with these three first,”
“She’ll be disappointed if she gets back and sees we had only two more and the third one was courtesy of your mom.”
She raised her eyebrow at me. “Fine. F*ck me good, but don’t impregnate me.
“I’m good at the latter but I’m best at the former.”
She threw her hands around my neck and I lifted her up so she could wrap her legs around my body. I kissed her and she
kissed me back
Our lives weren’t perfect. Our home wasn’t but we’ve learned to love each other through the good and the bad. We’d learned to lean on each other, help ourselves, and keep the fire burning in our home.
Our love story might have flaws but we were living it and we had no plans of giving up on each other or on any of our kids.
