BOOK 2: CHAPTER 19
Harriette’s POV.
My eyes suddenly fluttered open and I realized I was in the hospital. My head was banging hard like a bad bitch but I managed to sit up on the bed.
A cup of water was beside me. I frowned. Was this deja vu or did return to the past? I remembered waking up here before, but why was I back here again?
It took a few seconds for me to regain my senses fully. I sucked in a deep breath.
That fucking bastard called Thorne almost killed me.
“I want you to kill Rowan,” he had requested.
I was caught off guard by his request. I st“What the fuck are.” I quickly stopped myself when I saw the look on his face. “1 mean, I don’t understand you, Alpha,” I calmly said.
“You’ll make such a good pet to train, Harriette, he patted my hair down.
He walked back to the bags of clothes and gave all ten of them to me to carry. He was a lunatic, a bastard and to update his resume, an asshole.
Thorne walked ahead of me almost sprinting while I dragged the bags behind us. We got back to the car and he stared at më with a weird smile on his face. I loved it when Rowan looked at me like that but this time, it scared me a bit.

“I want you to kill Rowan,” he repeated.
“I don’t think that’ll be possible. If I kill him, doesn’t that mean you’ll die too, and also, he’s an Alpha. I can’t touch him,” I asked and I lied.
He was an alpha truly but the main reason why I was here was to kill him.
“You have more control over Rowan than you think. Why did you think I chose you? I did because of the connection
between us,”
He said. He ignited the engine and drove away.
“What connection are you talking about?”
Thorne clicked his tongue in shame for me. “You poor little girl, what do you know? That bastard didn’t tell you right?” He asked.
I shook my head. “Tell me what?”
He ignored me. He continued his lunatic driving and played the music. He put the volume at the loudest. I held on to the dashboard and my seat at the same time, praying for my dear life.
“Tell me you can do it,”
He yelled above the loud music playing in the car. I could feel the vibration against every part of that motherfucking death engine he called a car.

Chapter 149
“Do what?” I yelled back-
“Kill that pathetic, weak son of a bitch.
That moment was like a revelation to me. Mother wanted Rowan killed for obvious, explainable reasons but then, his wolf wanted him killed as well. He had a dysfunctional relationship with his father. The fact that his father was the werewolf king and his son could be so rebellious he could start his own rogue pack made me question everything about Rowan. Maybe things weren’t the same way I was seeing it.
“What happened to you?” I suddenly asked him.
“What?” He yelled.
I slammed my hand against the music player. I don’t know how I did it but it stopped being so loud.
“Rowan, what happened to you?” I asked again.
“Don’t you fucking call me that,” he yelled angrily.
“What? Your name? What the fuck happened to you, Rowan? What made you like this?”
I asked again.
“STOP” He yelled.
I didn’t.
“Rowan! Rowan! Stop the damn car, I asked.
He didn’t listen too. He stepped on the gas and kept on driving recklessly. When I realized with the way he was driving, he could get us killed, I grabbed him by the collar.
“ROWAN! Get our here and stop this lunatic before he gets us killed,” I screamed at the top of my voice.
I could see the car heading towards a mountain.
“ROWANI” I screamed as the car crashed into the mountain.
That was the last thing I remember before I woke up at the hospital. I groaned. It was as though my entire body had been slammed into a rock.
Well, technically speaking that was exactly what hapeoend. I almost died and I came back to life. Thank goodness for my
genes.
Alpha or not, that gene saved my life today. I gulped down a large cup of water, the rest pouring down my body. My clothes had been changed to the hospital gown.
“Eww,” I exclaimed in disgust. The clothes disgusted me. I stared down at my toes to see one of them was crooked. I removed the IV injection from my hand and bent over so I could fix my toe myself.
I cracked it backward and it went back to normal. I breathed through the pain and waited for it to recede before I placed my feet on the floor. I could see my old clothes on the table in the room. I removed the hospital gown and got dressed
“Whenever I see Thorne again, I swear that I’ll break every fucking bone in his body and make him go through what I’m currently going through,”
That was what I was mumbling as I came out of the hospital room

“I’m sorry I got you worried, Ella.”
I apologized quickly.
Til kill you if you die before me,” she threatened.
“Well, technically, I’ll be dead. So…” I shrugged.
“Shut up!” She yelled at me before she hugged me again.
The others included Mika, Gideon, and of course, Alpha Rowati. His eyes were back to normal which meant he was Rowan.

“How are you feeling?” Commander Mika asked.
“Like a bitch. My body aches all over, I confessed.
“The accident was fatal. It’s a miracle you both survived,”
I nodded. I don’t think something like that existed.

Gideon suggested. He was standing behind me.
“Let’s go home, Harriette, Ella asked. I nodded instantly. I thought she meant our room in the pack.
“Yeah, let’s go to our room,”
Ella shook her head. Tears began slipping off her face..
“I mean home. I hate it here, Harriette. Please, let’s go back home. I don’t want to stay here anymore,”
