When Lucas opened his eyes again, he clutched his head and woke up from the pain.
The first thing he did when he regained consciousness was to look around for a familiar figure.
When he found only his mother by the bed, he asked almost frantically:
“Mom, where’s Sophia?”
“I vaguely remember hearing on the radio that she’s marrying into the Pool family. How is that possible?”
Seeing his mental state, his mother sighed:
“You’ve been unconscious for two days and two nights. You really scared me.”
“Sophia has already married Ethan Pool. You should worry about Rachel and Lily instead. They haven’t woken up yet.”
Hearing this sudden news, Lucas was completely stunned, his mind blank.
So Sophia hadn’t lied to him or been jealous. She had really married someone else.
The man took a long time to react and continued to ask:
“What about Emma? She’s my biological daughter…”
His mother pressed him back onto the bed and tried to persuade him:
“You’ve already decided to marry Rachel. Keeping Emma will only make your relationship more complicated.”
I’ve already agreed to give Emma’s custody to Sophia. Although I’m reluctant too, I hope you and Rachel can have a good life together. We have Lily, and that’s enough for our family”
Hearing this, Lucas suddenly sat up from the hospital bed, making a move to get out of bed:
“How can my daughter call another man ‘Dad!
“I must go find Sophia and get a clear answer. She can’t just leave like this without explanation!”

Seeing Lucas in this frenzied state, his mother thought he had damaged his brain in the accident and hurriedly called for a doctor to help.
After an injection of sedatives, Lucas gradually lost consciousness again, muttering:
“So… Sophia…”
When he regained consciousness once more, he vaguely heard someone calling him “Daddy” by his ear.
He weakly reached out his hand to caress, subconsciously calling out Emma’s name.
Lily’s face gradually became clear in front of him, pouting angrily:
“I’m Lily! Why are you calling Emma’s name? She and her mom have already left. From now on, you only have me as your daughter!”
Lucas’s vision became clearer, and he saw Rachel frowning beside him, complaining:
“Lucas, can’t you see that Lily is seriously injured? You don’t even care about your daughter at all, only thinking about someone else’s child…”
Hearing this, the man immediately sat up and frowned, questioning:
“Where exactly is Emma?!”
Hearing him ask this, Rachel’s expression became even more unpleasant. She deliberately provoked him:
“Emma isn’t shy at all. She’s already calling Ethan ‘Dad‘ now. When they heard you were hospitalized after the car accident, they didn’t even plan to come see you. Why are you still thinking about them?”
As soon as she finished speaking, Lucas frantically tore off the IV needle on his hand and nimbly got out of bed.
“No! I don’t believe it. I need to find them and ask them myself!”
He ran panic–stricken to the door, only to be blocked by his mother.
