Chapter 11
On the day Sylvia Green passed away, Luke Crawford’s eyelids kept twitching, and a
great sense of panic suddenly arose in his heart.
The kind of panic that seemed to drag him toward an endless abyss.
But he was powerless to escape.
He had been searching for Sylvia, but Leo Davis had hidden her very well.
He went to all the places he could think of, and waited day and night at the door of her rented house, but he never saw her come back.
That girl who always smiled so brightly at

him;
The one who, when he was in the dark, would tightly hold his hand and guide him;
The one who silently accompanied him, as quiet as a shadow;
Was he really going to lose her forever?
No, he didn’t believe it. Even if he had to search heaven and earth, he would find her.
Wasn’t she the one who cared most about Daniel? Then he would wait for her at Daniel’s grave. If that didn’t work, he would move Daniel’s grave. He didn’t believe that Sylvia wouldn’t come to find him!
It was on the day he ordered the cemetery to move Daniel’s grave that he finally received news of Sylvia Green.

But it wasn’t from her. It was the person he hated most–Leo Davis.
The bastard who lived across from Sylvia Green, the one who always looked at him coldly, as though he could see through his selfish and cowardly nature!
“Where did you hide Sylvia? Give her back to me!” Luke Crawford rushed forward and threw a punch at him, but Leo Davis easily dodged it.
“No matter what you do, Sylvia will never see you again,” Leo Davis’s voice was cold and heavy.
It made Luke Crawford’s heart drop.
“You’re lying! Impossible! She’s just mad at me! She loved me so much, for so many

years, once she calms down, it’ll be fine!”
Leo Davis sneered coldly and slapped a report onto Luke Crawford’s face.
“Take a look for yourself, Luke Crawford. You don’t deserve Sylvia’s love, and you’re not worthy of her sacrifice.”
Luke Crawford’s hands trembled as he opened the report.
It was Sylvia Green’s pathology report, clearly showing that she had been in the late stages of stomach cancer when she was discovered.
“It’s impossible… impossible…” Luke Crawford’s face turned ashen, his hands shaking so badly he could barely hold the report. He suddenly grabbed Leo Davis by the collar.

“You’re lying to me! You’re lying, aren’t you? Where did you hide Sylvia? Let her come out and see me…” By the end of his sentence, his voice trembled, laced with a hint of desperate pleading.
Leo Davis glanced at Daniel’s grave, his expression heavy yet gentle.
“Sylvia has already reunited with Daniel. She should be very happy now, because…” He paused, his voice slightly trembling.
“Because there’s no pain, no betrayal, no deception, and no more suffering there.”
After he finished the last word, Luke Crawford could no longer bear it. He shouted in anguish.
His whole body seemed to lose all its

strength as he slowly sank to the ground.
He covered his face, tears spilling through his fingers.
Leo Davis’s face showed no sorrow or joy. After a long silence, he spoke softly.
“Don’t come to disturb Daniel anymore. Consider this the last thing you can do for Sylvia.”
He turned and left.
But Luke Crawford suddenly called out to him.
“Leo Davis-”
Leo Davis turned around.
“Can you… can you tell me where Sylvia’s…

where she is?” He couldn’t bring himself to say the word “grave.”
Leo Davis looked at him silently, a fleeting look of pity passing in his eyes before it quickly disappeared.
A gentle breeze blew by, the leaves rustling, as if composing a song of the joys and sorrows of human life.
“Do you know Sylvia’s last wish before she left?”
“What was it?”
“She said she wished never to meet you again for all eternity.”
“Luke Crawford, if you really loved her, help her fulfill this last wish.”

Leo Davis walked away without looking back
at Luke Crawford.
Some debts can never be repaid.
Some mistakes can never be forgiven.
Some people, once betrayed, are forever betrayed.
The living will forever carry regret and guilt.
“Luke Crawford, I will never forgive you.
What you owe me, I will make you repay in this lifetime.”
The End.

Teon has knelt before me three times.
The first was at our wedding when he got down on one knee to put the ring on my finger.
The second was when I discovered his infidelity; he dropped to both knees, begging for my forgiveness.
The third is now, as he kneels on the ground, clinging to my legs, looking up and pleading with me to visit the hospital to see the other
woman.
“Lyn, please, Hiral says she can’t forgive herself if you don’t go. She won’t go into the operating room no matter what.”
Seeing my silence, he hastily adds:
“Lyn, the child is innocent. Even if you can’t

stand Hiral, she’s carrying my child.”
