Chapter 19
As the car rolled up to the Everleigh family estate, Thalia’s nerves began to fray. This was her second encounter with the Everleigh clan since her wedding.
Given Thorne’s parents‘ health issues, their interactions had been limited to video calls from abroad until now. Sensing her anxiety, Thorne gently took her hand, turned to her with a reassuring smile, and said, “Don’t worry, my parents adore you. They’ve been excited to meet you all the way here!”
His comforting words allowed Thalia to exhale deeply. At the dining table, Vivienne couldn’t stop smiling as she heaped food onto Thalia’s plate.
Embarrassed, Thalia said, “That’s enough,

Mom. I’ve got plenty on my plate.”
Vivienne finally paused, still beaming. “Alright, alright. But you’re too skinny. You need to eat more. Help yourself to whatever you like.”
Over dinner, when the conversation turned to children, Thalia’s smile softened, and her gaze grew tender. “It’s a girl” she said. “But we have no experience raising children yet.”
Initially, she and Thorne hadn’t planned on starting a family, feeling unprepared for the responsibility. But an unexpected pregnancy had altered their course.
Unable to consider termination, Thalia discussed it with Thorne, and they decided to welcome the baby into their lives.
Reflecting on this, she glanced at her

growing belly with affectionate eyes. Vivienne gently patted her arm in reassurance. “Don’t worry, we’re here to support you. We have plenty of time on our hands. When the baby arrives, we’ll take care of her. You two don’t need to stress.”
Warmth filled Thalia’s heart as she smiled. “Thank you, Mom!”
“No need for thanks. You’re family. Though I never had a daughter, I consider you my
own.”
Thorne’s father, Declan, joined the conversation with a kind expression. “The most important thing is your health. Don’t worry about the baby.”
As he continued, his questions about their time abroad deeply moved Thalia. Under the table, Thorne held her hand, his gaze steady

and assuring.
Thalia smiled warmly at him, her jitters easing as she chatted with Vivienne. Meanwhile, Thorne stepped away to take a phone call.
Although his expression remained gentle as he left, once he was out of sight, his face darkened with cold arrogance and a wicked edge. “I didn’t expect them to dare come here. Since they’re so eager to make trouble, don’t hold back.”
On the other end, the bodyguard responded immediately, “Understood, Sir.”
At that moment, Cassian and Callum burst into the Everleigh family estate with a group of people. They began smashing things recklessly, venting two years of pent–up anger on the household. However, a team

of black–clad bodyguards soon surrounded them, cutting off any escape.
Cassian calmly adjusted his clothes, unfazed by the confrontation. With a cold sneer, he said, “Finally, someone shows up. Anyone else would’ve thought the entire Everleigh family was dead.”
His caustic remark darkened the bodyguards‘ faces. One muttered coldly, “You really don’t know your place.”
Cassian laughed mockingly, his voice icy as he commanded, “Tell your boss to come out and bring Thalia. I want to see her. If not, we won’t hesitate to take legal action against him.”
The head bodyguard sneered. “My boss and his wife aren’t people you can meet just because you want to.”

With that, he raised his hand, and his men swiftly subdued Cassian, Callum, and their group with ease.
Seeing his men overpowered, Cassian’s expression turned glacial. “What do you mean ‘his wife‘? Thalia is my fiancée! If you don’t let us see her, we’ll sue you!”
Callum’s face paled as he first tried to reason. But quickly, his demeanor turned steely, and he spoke with frosty precision. “His wife? My sister is unmarried. When did she become someone else’s wife?”
The bodyguard’s expression didn’t change. as he called the police, arranging for their detainment. “You’ve broken into a private residence, damaged property, and now you threaten to sue us? You’re living in a fantasy. You’ll spend some time at the station!”

Cassian and Callum knew their chances of feaving were slim. Desperation to find Thalia had driven them to the edge after searching for over two years.
Now, having finally found her location, being forced to leave felt like a death sentence. Unable to contain himself, Cassian shouted, “I’m her fiancé! The Everleigh family is holding my fiancée from me! We’re only trying to find her. They should be the ones arrested!”
