Chapter 35
Far away from the city. Two men in black stepped out an SUV. One carried a big pink box wrapped with a shiny bow, a letter tucked under the ribbon. The other, a hulking figure with a scar across his jaw, scanned the street like he was waiting for trouble.
The bigger guy, knocked on the door. It creaked open, and a woman stood there, a bandage wrapped tight around her throat. Her eyes widened at the sight of him, like she’d seen a ghost.
“Miss Lena,” the bigger guy said, his voice flat, emotionless. This was sent for you by Dante Romano
Lena’s face lit up like a kid on Christmas. Her hands flew to her chest, and the practically bounced “Oh my God! I knew it! I knew Dante loved me Look at this pink! He knows it’s my favourite!” She stepped aside, waving them in. “Please, bring it in“”
under.
Marco and his partner exchanged a glance. They carried the box inside, setting it down in the middle of her living room. Her smile The men didn’t stick around. They turned and left without a word, the door clicking shut behind them, Lena barely noticed, too busy kneeling on the floor, tugging at the bow. The pink wrapping fell away, revealing a rest box underneath. Her heart raced
She lifted the lid.
Her scream ripped through the house. She stumbled back, her hands flying to her mouth as her face drained of colour. Inside the box, staring up at her, was her father’s face, or what was left of it. Giovanni’s lifeless eyes were frozen in terror, his skin grey, his body folded unnaturally to fit inside. The box was too small for his whole body, so Dante’s men had hacked him to pieces. Blood caked the edges, staining the red interior of the box. Lena’s stomach churned, and her vision blurred. She tried to scream again, but no sound cathe out. Her knees buckled, and she collapsed, the world fading to black as she hit the floor.
The letter lay crumpled beside her “A family reunion, just for you.” Dante Romano,
Dante tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, a rare smirk playing on his lips.
His Amore. After the long, uring and bloodstained day, all he wanted was to lose himself in his wife, feel her softness beneath him, and hear her breath hitch when he kissed every inch of her perfect skin. Hearing her perfect moan.
But then his phone rang. He took out his phone from his packet with pissed expression “Whoever just pulled me out of thoughts about my wife better have a damn good reason.”
His father.
Dante pressed his tongue against his cheek, letting out a bitter laugh. He exhaled, calming himself before answering. What old man?”
Silence. Then, his father’s cold voice came, “Where are you?”
“I am heading home”
There was a pausel
“William Rossi is at your d
club. He’s waiting for you.”
Dante scoffed. “No. Send Nero. Your daughter–in–law is waiting for me. I need to be home.”
His father let out a dry chuckle. “Whipped bastard.”
Dante smirked. “I’m your son
“I’ll apologise to my daughter–in–law later, but you need to handle this yourself.”
Dante exhaled sharply, gripping the wheel tighter. “I had a long day.” He almost whined.
“So did L. My wife ;
spent the whole damn day taking care of your wife. I need her in my arms, too. So get the work done and send my woman back”
Dante rolled his eyes, feeling an unpleasant shiver of secondhand embarrassment. “Cringe, old man.”
Ignoring his father’s chuckle, he hung up, annoyance prickling under his skin as he made a sharp U–turn, his grip tightening around the steering wheel.

Chapter 35
Bella parked her car outside and stepped out, adjusting her dress. Elara followed. She wore a stunning short maroon dress, the sleeves made of a single string of diamonds that shimmered. The fabric hugged her curves perfectly, revealing just enough to be dangerously alluring After all, this wasn’t just any club this was her husband’s chib, And she had to look absolutely deadly. But then her gare immediately landed on a familiar car parked nearby.
Isn’t that Dante’s car? she thought, frowning. But
souldn’t he be in his office!
“Bell, do you think your brother is here!” Elara asked.
Bella shook her head. “No, sister. Dante had something important to deal with. That’s why he messaged Mother to look after you. He said he’d be a little late
Elara nodded but her heart fluttered. A warm feeling spread through her chest. “Even when he’s busy, he still thinks about me.” She thought.
The club was alive with music, the heavy bass vibrating through the floor. The dance floor was packed, people moving to the beat, bodies pressed close. Strippers weaved through the crowd, dressed in barely anything, serving drinks with teasing smiles. The place had three sections: one for commoners, another for VIPs, and the last more exclusive for the higher authorities of the Romano empire.
“We need to get to the VIP section. All his fuck buddies are in there,” Bella yelled near Elara’s ear, her voice barely cutting through the pounding
music.
Elara’s fists clenched immeditaly. The butterflies in her stomach died instantly, replaced by a simmering rage. As they reached the VIP entrance, Two guards blocked their way, scanning them from head to toe.
“Bella Romano,” Bella announced with a confident smirk.
One of the guards stiffened, quickly verifying her identity. Then, his face hardened. “I’m sorry, Miss Romano, but you’re not allowed in. Orders from the Boss.”
Bella’s expression darkened. “What the, How dare you stop me?!” she snapped
The guard lowered his gaze slightly, clearly uncomfortable. “Miss Romano, we’re just following orders, but you are under age-
Bella cut him off sharply. “Do you even know who she is?” She gestured toward Elara. “This is Elara Dante Romano. Your Queen. Are you sure you still want to keep us out?”
Elara’s eyes widened slightly, caught off guard by Bella’s boldness. She turned to her, but Bella simply shot her a reassuring look. Leave it to me.
The guards hesitated.
“Il make sure my brother knows you refused entry to his wife,” Bella added coldly, her voice like steel. The guards immediately stepped aside. bowing their heads in submission.
Bella smirked, tossing a wink at Flara before striding inside.
Elara couldn’t help but chuckle. Damn.
The moment they stepped inside, the atmosphere was very different. The air was thick with the scent of expensive liquor and temptation Elara’s eyes widened, her cheeks heating slightly as she took in the extravagant interior. Statues of naked men and women stood boldly on display, their sculpted forms leaving little to the imagination. On stage, dancers twirled around poles, their barely covered bodies moving to the seductive rhythm of the music
A man approached them, confidently while being shirtless, toned, and oiled up like a goddamn fantasy, he was clearly one of the club’s male entertainers. He stopped beside them, flashing a playful smirk.
“What can I get for you beautiful ladies? His gaze flickered to Elara, and he winked at her.
Before Elara could even react, Bella stepped in, shaking her head. “Eyes here, young man,” she said, with amused smile. She tilted her chin toward Elara. “This woman is married, and if her husband catches you looking at her like that, he’ll bury you six feet under.”
Elara burst into laughter, watching as every ounce of flirtation drained from the man’s face. His smirk vanished, replaced with sheer panic.
“Just–uh–enjoy your night,” he muttered before burrying off.
Bella grinned, nudging Elara. “He seems fresh and cute,” Bella mused, eyeing the running dancer. Elara turned to her with a bewildered expression, blinking in disbelief. “Are you serious!”
Bella only shrugged, completely unfazed. Elara sighed, shaking her head. Of course. She has Romano blood, what else did I expect!
“I swear, you need a warning label that says Property of Dante Romano.” Hella winked.
