Chapter 19
“Her frequencies are breaching Alpha containment-‘
“Her scent marker system is collapsing!”
“Start the fusion protocol now- immediately!”
Inside the medical chamber, voices screamed around me like crashing thunder. But I felt none of it.
I was floating–somewhere between Emily’s sobs and Alpha Evelyn’s growls. My soul was splitting in half.
“This isn’t physical,” I realized. “This is who I am–breaking apart.”

“Her system’s entering dualpower ic shock!”
Lucien gripped my shoulders tightly, fingers digging into my skin to stabilize the control restraints.
“Alpha Evelyn, listen to me!” he yelled. “You are not a mistake! You are the intersection of all of us! You are the future of our kind!”
I opened my eyes and saw the reflection of silver light in his tears.
Outside the chamber, Alpha Ethan stood holding a sealed pod. Inside it–his Alpha power’s source tissue, freshly removed.
He knelt before the fusion tank, hands shaking but firm.
“This is all I have left to give,” he whispered. “If this can help you live–take it.”

“You’re insane!” Alpha Daniel snapped. “You know what removing your source power does! You’ll never release scent markers again–never command a pack!”
Alpha Ethan didn’t turn around. His voice never shook.
“If I can’t protect her, then let me become a part of her.”
I looked at him. Tears blurred my vision.
“You finally choose to sacrifice,” I said. “But only when I’m dying?”
“I thought you wouldn’t listen,” he murmured.
“I would’ve,” I whispered. “But now… it’s no longer your choice”

The fusion tank began to seal.
My body floated in stabilized fluid, every breath measured, every vein monitored.
Lucien’s voice faded into white noise.
“Fusion initiated.“”
“Primary power s engaged.”
“Triggering AlphaOmega interface-”
Suddenly–alarms blared.
“Unauthorized code breach-”
“Someone’s tampering with the system!”
The glass wall shattered inward.
Luna Chloe burst in.

She was wildeyed, hair tangled, clutching a glowing blue syringe in one hand and dragging one of Jason’s technicians behind her.
“No!” she shrieked. “She can’t complete the fusion–if she does, I’ll be nothing! NOTHING!”
I tried to move, but I was fully paralyzed inside the tank.
She tore open the interface port, shoving the needle toward it.
“This is a power degeneration serum. It’ll strip your identity from the inside out. You won’t be Alpha. You won’t be Omega. You’ll be no one!”
I stared at her. My eyes were fire.

“You always saw me as nothing. But now, you’re finally admitting–I’m what you fear.”
She let out a hysterical scream and jammed the syringe forward And then Alpha Ethan launched himself between us.
He slammed his hand against the release valve.
“Don’t touch her!”
“Alpha Ethan–NO!” Luna Chloe shrieked.
The serum reversed into his bloodstream.
His body arched with the force. Blood drained from his face. His breath turned shallow.
“She’s absorbing…” a medic stammered. “No

-he’s absorbing the entire compound!”
He collapsed.
Smoke curled from his skin.
His hands twitched.
I tried to scream.
He turned his head to me, barely conscious.
“Don’t let her destroy you,” he whispered. “You’re no longer that girl…
“I killed you once… but this time… I want to save you.”
“Don’t forgive me.”
“Just–live.”

His eyes closed.
Then came the moonlight.
Lunaria appeared again, walking through my
mind like a river of silence.
“You now hold two souls.”
“Emily was your kindness.”
“Alpha Evelyn, your fire.”
“If you merge them-” she paused, “you will be neither.”
“Then what am I?” I asked her.
She smiled:
“You are the one who chooses.”

“Not the one chosen.”
I closed my eyes.
Heat exploded in my veins.
My power twisted, flared–glowing silver and crimson from within my chest.
I saw Emily–kneeling on the orphanage rooftop, holding love letters she never sent.
I saw Alpha Evelyn–alone in the storm, plunging a knife into the heart of betrayal.
They met.
They reached.
They took each other’s hand.
And then–they became one.

I opened my eyes.
Luna Chloe was pinned to the floor by Omega Silas, still screaming.
“You were born to be a donor!” she howled. “You’re just a Frankenstein!”
I stepped out of the fusion chamber, barefoot, covered in frost.
My fingers clutched a shattered calming brew vial.
Blood trickled from my palm as I approached her.
I crouched down and pressed the shard to her throat.
“I’ve died once before,” I whispered. “Don’t

make me bury someone else.”
She broke. She sobbed. She screamed.
Omega Silas looked up at me, eyes wide.
“You… you really fused them?”
I tilted my head. “Smell me.”
He inhaled–and staggered back.
The air was unlike anything before.
Not Alpha. Not Omega.
Something else entirely.
Fire and moonlight. Roses and iron.
A frequency never seen in any bloodline.

“I’m not a hybrid,” I said softly.
“I’m a rebirth.”
Lucien stood at the edge of the window.
He murmured, “She’s the heir of the New Moon.”
Outside, in the sacred forest, the flower of the Silver Moon–dead for a hundred years- began to bloom.
And II stood in the wreckage of everything they tried to make me forget.
Blood on my hands. Stars in my chest.
From this moment forward, I would live for no bloodline.
No legacy.
