Chapter 72
Pandora’s mouth opened and chesed, flabbergasted. She put her fingers in her ears and gave them a good rub. “I’m sorry, I think I must be in shock, overly tired, of hallucinating… something. Can you say that again?”
Pandora smiled, picking up her necklace. He twirled the ring between his fingers, and then wrapped his arm around her neck, taking it off. He held the ring up to his eyes and a huge smile broke out on his face. He looked happier than she had ever seen him.
He slowly told her his side of the story, even the parts she didn’t remember.
“Then you walked into my office. At first, I thought you looked like my Dora, but you were married and your hair was different. I thought your married name was Leonard. I knew my girl wasn’t married to anyone but me, so I dropped the idea of it within a few minutes. However, I was and still am strongly attracted to you. As the weeks and months passed, I stopped thinking about Dora and started to think about you. I needed and wanted to protect you and your boys. I’ll always protect all three of you. My feelings for you started to overshadow what I felt for Dora so much that I stopped looking for her, and I didn’t follow up on the fact that I never got the marriage certificate. But she’s you…”
“We’re married?” she asked, finding this surreal how she could forget so much.
“We are,” Benjamin agreed. “We’re parents?” he frowned as he looked at her.
“I don’t remember getting married, but my… our boys were my remembrances.” Benjamin’s face paled as he looked at her. “We made them that night,” she informed him.
“They are mine? Yours and mine?” he asked and she nodded at him.
“I wanted you to be him, so badly. I couldn’t find you. To be truthful, I didn’t even know where to start looking,” she sobbed to him, feeling stupid since he had been there in front of her all along. “But knew you had the right to know they’re yours. We can have a DNA test performed if you need proof. I know-
Benjamin smiled, shaking his head to cut her off.
“I’m your doctor. I know they were conceived during the time we were together. Fuck, my mom’s going to flip,” Benjamin chuckled. “But I need to fix something and try something.”
Pandora frowned at him, and he took the ring she was holding and slid it back onto his finger. He then took hold of her hand. She watched as he slid her ring onto her left ring finger.
“Perfect,” he grinned at her. “Now to try something… it’s something I have wanted to do since I woke up that morning alone.” Benjamin looked into her eyes and moved forward slowly.
He grinned at her and her eyes rolled closed as she felt his soft breath on her lips. “I think I have loved you since I first laid eyes on you, he whispered, and then his lips touched her own.

The first kiss was short and soft, but there was so much emotion behind it that it had her lips following his when they pulled back. The second kiss lasted longer, and the third lit her up so much that she threaded her fingers into his hair as his arms wrapped around her back, pulling her to him.
A sharp pain hit her and she had to pull away from him.
I’ll get some pain lers, and then take you back down to the boys, he said, but followed it with a look to say it was either that way or ‘stay here and get medication‘.
“Okay,” she answered, knowing that the pain was getting to be too much.
“I’m here with you,” he whispered, giving her another kiss. Her body followed his as he pulled back. He grinned down at her, shaking

his head. “This feels so right, doesn’t it?”
She nodded in agreement. “Yes, but you may need to tell me this all again tomorrow, and the next day because 1…” she trailed off, praying that she hadn’t passed ut and this was all just make–believe
“How about I tell you every day for the rest of our lives?”
Pandora chuckled at him as he pressed her room buzzer.
“You’ve never lived with me. I can be really anal about a lot of things
Benjamin shrugged. “I can be uptight, too, so let’s just wait and see
“Needing some painkillers?” A chirpy nurse said as she walked in.
“Please, and could you call my father and tell him that I need both him and David to come up here right away?” The nurse nodded at him and walked back out again.
“Who’s David?” she asked, and Benjamin sighed, pulling his hair.
“He’s on the hospital board. I need to inform him that you are my wife and that Jack side of things sorted, and also arrange it so I can get some time off of work.”
“Time off?” she asked even if there was more to his statement that she didn’t follow.

“Sweetheart, you just had two babies in a very dramatic way. They are in the neonatal unit, and I want to be with them, bond with them, bond with you.”
She nodded in half–understanding and then started to rub her head. “Sorry, of course, you would.”
“Hey, hey, come on, no more tears,” Benjamin whispered as he kissed her temple. He pulled away as someone cleared their throat, and he turned, noticing the nurse was back.
She handed Pandora two pills and a glass of water before turning to Benjamin.
“Your father said he’ll be here within the hour.”
“Thank you; we’ll Be in the neonatal unit.”
As soon as Pandora finished taking the medication, Benjamin wheeled her back down to the boys. Worried about the amount of breast milk she was able to produce, she mentioned it to him.
“I was only able to express a small amount of breast milk. I don’t think there is enough for one of the boys, let alone two.”
“That’s normal, Pandora. It will take a few days, and once your milk comes in, you’ll express more. If not then the formula is fine.
She nodded, but a small snort seemed to escape her, catching Benjamin’s immediate attention. He stopped and knelt in front of her.
