Chapter 75
Pandora rubbed her face as she placed her head back on his chest. Im sorry for getting you and your family mixed up in this crap with my ex and his stupidity.“.
“You’re my wife. The crap you deal with is the crap I deal with. Just like my family is your family, your family, and friends are now mine, too.” Benjamin kissed her head.
“Benjamin?” Pandora jumped on seeing his mom and dad standing af the door.
“Hey, Mom, Dad, this is my wife, Pandora. And these are our sons, Jack and Micheal,” Benjamin said smoothly, but his parents seemed to stare between Pandora and the boys. “Dad, I feed a word with you. Mom, do you think you could help Pandora express milk in the room across the hall? I know you would be more helpfulhan anyone else since you’ve been there and done that before.”
His mom narrowed her eyes, but there was a flash of understanding
them and she smiled. “Sure, come on, Pandora. I understand
the struggle.” She took Pandora’s hand and started to walk with her to her wheelchair. “I had to use the most God–awful pump when I had Benjamin,” she said as she helped her to sit and wheeled her out of the room.
When they reached the other room, she helped Pandora set up the breast pump. “So you met him in Vegas?” she asked and Pandora felt her face heat up.
Pandora looked at the older woman and found her expression soft. There was no judgment whatsoever in her expression, just curiosity. She took a deep breath and launched into what happened.
She surprised herself by starting off by telling her about her marriage to Derrik, before telling her what led her to the club that night. When she got to the part about meeting Benjamin, but not knowing who he was, she couldn’t look at her.
“Sounds as if fate has given you a do–over,” she hummed and Pandora looked at her in shock. “It let you meet him again, the right way. You both got to meet and know each other without the pressure of knowing you were married. Maybe fate wanted to make sure your heart knew that this love was real before you knew what was going on.”
Pandora nodded in agreement. “I like the sound of that. It sounds so much better than I drank well over my limit, hooked up, and ta–da,” she chuckled. She looked down at the bottle and saw that there was still not much breast milk in it.
“This is hopeless. It’s the only thing I can do, and I am failing at it, Pandora cried to her.
“You’re not failing,” Lana said firmly, sounding like the moms Pandora heard on the street. “Can I touch your breast?” Pandora/ looked at her and then nodded. Lana gently started to massage her breast.
“The first milk is always the hardest to express; it’s thicker at first and thins out later on. As soon as your regular milk comes in, pumping will be easier. I have found using pumps is a trying task. Even after all these years and improvements, there isn’t a pump out there that makes the first–time expression of milk easy. Plus, you also have the fact that the boys are early, so your body has to fully catch up to where it needs to be.” Lana stopped talking, patted her shoulder, and then smiled. “There we go.”
Pandor looked down and saw that the flow seemed to be more constant.
“Wow,” she heard Benjamin say. She looked up to see that he was standing at the door with his eyes closed. “Mom, why are you touching my wife’s breast?”
“Well, son, I was thinking of becoming a lesbian and I wanted to know if I was going to like breasts or not. I was just about to touch her ass,” she stated seriously that Pandora found herself covering her mouth to keep from laughing.
Benjamin’s eyes sprang open and he looked horrified for a moment before he realized Lana was joking. “Ha, ha, so funny. I can take it from here if you want to meet your grandsons.”
Lana looked at Pandora to ask if she was okay. When she saw the answer, she said, “Welcome to the family. Finally, she stood up.

“Son,” she hissed, giving her a side smile as she did. Pandora knew it was her way of telling her that he had got some explaining of
his own to do.
“Hey, Benjamin smiled as he se down. “I’ve got two months off for aternity leave. I know it’s not a lot, but it’s all I could get on such short notice.” She waited, knowing that there was more to come “I can’t be your doctor anymore, but David will take over your care from here on out. He was my mentor growing up, so you’re safe in his hands. He’s eager to meet you, but will do it tomorrow.”
“Okay,” she smiled and switched the pump to her other breast.
“Maisey and her husband Caleb want to meet my wife, too.”
She looked up at him, narrowing her eyes. “You called me that to your parents.”
Benjamin looked up at her. “What, my wife? Is that okay?”
“Yes, but it just feels as if you’re handling this so much better than am.”
“You just gave birth, and the reason I keep saying wife -calling you my wife–is, that I want to get it in my head that it’s true. I’m scared it’s a dream, and in case I wake up and find this is all a dream I want to say it as much as I can.”
“I know that feeling.”
“You have enough breast milk for a few feedings. Do you want to see them again her hair out of her face.
“See the boys,” she replied matter–of–factly.
“Okay, but just for a short while, you’re dead on your feet.”
“I’m fine,” she groaned, making him arch his brow.
“You’re not. Let me look after you.”
