Chapter 89
As she walked away, she picked up her cell that was charging on the counter. She felt the need to call the hospital.
“Hi, it’s Pandora Leo… Parks, Jack and Micheal’s mom. I’m just calling to see how they are doing. My password is…” she mumbled quickly once her call was connected.
“Good morning, Pandora, it’s Claire, and both boys are doing well,” she said softly. “Jack’s doing great. He’s only had two blips so far tonight, and Micheal had five.”
She felt her heart beating faster than humanly possible. No matter how many times they told her this, she couldn’t seem to be calm about them talking about her sons forgetting to breathe.
“They’re doing great, Pandora.”
She let out a long breath and nodded, though she couldn’t see her. She felt reassured, and a little more relaxed. “Okay, thanks, I’ll let you get back to work.”
Claire told her goodbye and she placed her cell back on the counter to continue charging. Not feeling tired, she decided to look around Benjamin’s home. His kitchen was good–sized. However, the layout was a little iffy. With a few adjustments, it would appear to look twice the size it was.
She walked out and headed to the living room, which she really liked. It felt homey and the colors were fresh. Just down from the living room was an office. The other room was a large guest room, which had its own ensuite bathroom. That room was currently housing her father and Nina.
Having finished with the bottom floor, she headed back upstairs to the nursery. She walked around the nursery, taking in everything. She pushed open the door to the adjoining room and gasped at what Benjamin had done for her. The room was amazing, and she knew that he had it freshly painted and carpeted. The colors he used were very much to her liking.
“There you are, love.” She turned and saw a sleepy Benjamin looking at her.
“Sorry, I just finished expressing milk and called in to check on the boys. Claire said the boys are doing fine.”
Benjamin hummed as he smiled a little. “You should have woken me up, I would have kept you company.”
She shook her head. “You need to sleep.” She stopped and cleared her throat. “I’m sorry I was walking around your home.”
“Our home, Benjamin quickly corrected. “What do think?” he asked, tilting his head to the side.
“It’s lovely. I really like it.”
He laughed lightly and grinned at her. “Let’s get the boys home first and then you can change anything you want.”
She gasped as her mouth hung open. “I wouldn’t-
Sweetheart, this is your home, too, and you are the project engineer,” he interrupted. “But more so, I want you to feel at home here. I want you to like it so much that you won’t want to leave.”
She snorted as she shook her head. “You really are in need of a stalker help group!”
‘Seemingly so, come on, let’s go back to bed.”
Benjamin led her back to his room, but she stopped off in the bathroom. She got washed, took care of her bathroom duties, and put on a clean nightshirt. Once she was done, she went back to the bedroom and lay down in bed with her head on Benjamin’s chest. Within seconds, she was fast asleep.
“Hey, baby boy,” she said, looking down at Jack who was snuggling into Benjamin’s chest. Jack’s eyes opened and he just stared at her.
How about we try Jack on your breast to feed this time? Claire prompted, making her sink shakily into her seat.
Will he be okay? What if he stops breathing?” she stuttered. There was a part of her screaming ‘hell yes, this is what I have been waiting for!‘ but, there was another part that was afraid.
fack might have been a week old, but he was still so small.
“He’s ready,” Claire said with a tone that was both reassuring to her and gave her the kick she needed.
“Okay,‘ she whispered and started to undo her top. She unhooked her bra, and Claire placed a pillow on her lap.

Chapter 89
“Jacky, boy, it’s time for some food,” Benjamin stated with a grin as he passed her the little boy. With his aid, she got her nipple into Jack’s mouth and he started to suck right away.
“Oh, wow, this is strange,” she told Benjamin as her toes curled from the small amount of pain it caused.
Both Jack and Micheal had had a range of tests performed, including a DNA profile. Benjamin’s family paid a large amount of money to put a rush on every test. The DNA came back showing Benjamin as the father with a less than one percent chance he was not. As for the other tests, the only one that came back with concern was Micheal’s eye test.
They had been told he was able to see, but would most likely need to wear glasses. Out of everything that could have been wrong with him, Pandora was happy with the result. There was also the fact that as each day passed, Micheal was becoming stronger.
He had just reached the stage Jack was at when he was born, so Pandora was hoping that she would be able to hold him for a day or two. An alarm started to beep, causing her to jump. Jack started to grumble, and her eyes flashed to the new baby and family that had joined them.
The new parents looked as scared as she must have looked on her first day there. As the beeping stopped, her eyes fell back onto Jack who was sucking away again.
“He looks as if he’s enjoying that,” Benjamin whispered, and the alarm started to go off again. Both Benjamin and she looked, but as the nurses started to rally around the baby, she knew it was not a good thing.
“I’ll be back, Benjamin said and moved quickly to where the baby was. Pandora’s eyes flashed between Jack, who was still feeding, and Benjamin. She felt her heart swell with pride at seeing him work. He had a calm but caring, professional side to him.
