Chapter 91
Another week passed and the boys were both two weeks old. Pandor’s dad and Nina had been staying at Lana and Peter’s home duting the week and heading home on the weekends to check on things.
All four of them had been great and were getting along swimmingly she was sure that had added to her dad and Nina wanting to move, but she did know that the boys were the main reason.
She desperately wanted them to move closer to her, too. She never realized just how much she missed her dad until she had him around every day lately. During the past week, she found that Maiseys new project was making premature baby clothes, and her lucky boys now had a large number of clothes to try out.
She had been enjoying it so much that she had donated a large amount to the NICU to give to the parents of little ones going home. If someone told her this a few months ago, she would’ve been surprised, but after getting to know the Parks family, she knew it was just the way they were.
The entire family enjoyed performing random acts of kindness and giving to those they could help. All of them had fully welcomed Pandora’s family, friends, and her into their family. Not to mention the support they had provided with the Derrik situation.
Pandora knew damn well that the attorney fees they had helped pay for had been substantial in taking care of things with her ex. Of course, her father could have helped out, but this was not his expertise and he rather preferred to find someone local and specialized in such cases to help out.
Her home was no longer hers; She had turned it over to the family living there. They would make the rest of the house payments to Pandora and she would put the money into an account for her sons future. There was no way she could have put them out on the
street.
Out of everyone in that cluster–fuck, they, too, were victims and didn’t deserve what Derrik did to them. The down payment they made was still missing, but the rest of the sale’s price would be paid monthly to the account the lawyer set up for her.
The lawyer also rewrote the contract of the house sale, and it was the only legally binding sale of the property. Pandora would never have thought Derrik was smart enough to do the damage he had done to so many people, but he had made a mess of things.
Milton’s brother was a lawyer specializing in domestic disputes and financial crimes, so he was helping, too. Milton told Benjamin and her that Walter and his brother together had connections and could find things people didn’t want to be found.
Pandora had been assured that if the money existed anywhere, it would be found.
“Benjamin, Pandora,” Freddy said, making her jump since she was lost in her thoughts. “I am happy to discharge Jack today, he announced with a smile on his face.
Pandora smiled and looked at Benjamin who had a wide grin on his lips. They both turned back to Freddy, who took them through everything they needed to know about Jack’s discharge and what machines they would be taking home with them.
“If anything happens, or you are worried, just call in,” Claire instructed softly. “If he has to be readmitted within twenty–four hours, he’ll come back here. Any time after that, he will be placed in the children’s ward unless he needs intensive care.”
Pandora nodded, knowing that she needed to give her this information. It was a scary thought of taking him home only to have to bring him back to the hospital.
“He’s ready and he’ll be fine, Benjamin whispered into her ear.
They set about getting all the different things signed. It seemed like it took a long time.
That’s it; you’re all set,” Claire announced, looking down. “Don’t worry, Jack, your little brother will be coming home soon, too,” she added, and though she said it to Jack, Pandora knew it was meant for her.

She turned and looked at Micheal, and she felt a small sob coming out of her, hating that he had to stay.
“Pandora, baby, get your big boy home, Micheal and I want to have me guy time.
She snorted, shaking her head at Ron who was not even looking at fir.
“Don’t worry, Pandora, I’ll make sure he keeps their talk clean. I’ll call you before we leave for the night. It’s going to be all right.” Keira tried to reassure her.
“Come on, love,” Benjamin whispered in her ear. She glanced at him and saw that he was just as worried as she was. Taking a deep breath, she let it out.
“Okay, I am ready.”
Benjamin clasped her hand and they walked out together as Claire pushed the stroller holding Jack and all of his paraphernalia. They got to Benjamin’s car, which was parked at the pick–up point right outside the hospital doors.
Shakily, Pandora got in the backseat as Benjamin placed Jack in his car seat right next to her. He loaded up the rest of the items in the trunk before getting into the driver’s seat.
“Drive slowly,” she pleaded as he started the car.
“Was planning on it, love.”
Her eyes flickered to the rearview mirror to see that he was looking back at her. She gave him an apologetic look, which seemed to make him let out a soft laugh. He winked at her, and then he drove off.
After a long but slow drive, they arrived at Benjamin’s home. He got out and opened Jack’s door and carefully lifted him out as she got out and made her way around to them. As they walked into his house, she was immediately hit with the smell of homemade cooking.
“Smells like my mother has been here,” Benjamin commented softly. After placing the seat by the sofa, he helped her out of her jacket and then helped her with Jack. “You two sit here, and I’ll go see what she has made for us.”
