Xavier stood at the altar, his white suit without a speckle of dust as he waited for his bride to come, but instead of joy, his expression was unreadable as he recalled our sweet wedding ceremony years ago.
Soft angelic music played and Vanessa entered, radiant in her white gown. The sapphire engagement ring on her finger that reminded her of me now became a symbol of her victory to snatch Xavier from
- me.
Today was Vanessa and Xavier’s wedding, and the elders of both the jade moon pack and silver moon pack were invited. The wedding banquet was decorated with glittering lights just as she imagined.
“Vanessa, after your abusive ex–husband disappeared, leaving you and Eliot behind, we were extremely worried about you, but now it seems like it was a blessing in disguise.”

“She and Xavier have been childhood
sweethearts, after her husband passed away and now Mia gone from the picture. ofcouse they would come together.” Xavier’s friends congratulated Vanessa and showed their support but Theodore and Colin did not show up.
“Do you Alpha Xavier take Vanessa, as your lawful wife in health and sickness, to love and cherish as your mate?” the priest asked Xavier to which he did not reply.
“Xavier!I am with your child!” Regretting his foolishness, Xavier closed his eyes as he scowled deeply.
“I do.”
As the priest proceeded with the ceremony suddenly the humongous gates of the chapel were thrown open. A man angrily
strode in, making the crowd erupt in
murmurs.
“Alpha James!”

Oh my god wasn’t he killed by rogues a year ago?!”
“Alpha!” the elders of Vanessa’s pack rushed to Alpha James.
“Stop this goddamn wedding!” the man gritted his teeth glaring daggers at Vanessa making her pale with fright. “No…” she whispered, her hands trembling as she clutched her expensive flower bouquet.
“You damned slut! Haven’t you destroyed enough lives already? After conspiring to kill me did you really think you could hide forever?”
The pack was silent, with shock evident in their eyes, some gasped when they heard Alpha James.
Vanessa stumbled backward, her bouquet falling from her hands.
“That’s a lie!” Vanessa shrieked, her voice cracking. “He’s trying to ruin our wedding Xavier, he has returned to torture me more!”

Xavier stepped forward, feeling the need to protect Vanessa from the man who abused her in their six years of marriage.
“Who the hell are you and what do you want? Your relationship with Vanessa was finished the day you three were out of the house and disappeared-”
Even before Xavier could finish his sentence, James threw his head back and laughed bitterly.
“Is this what this bitch is going around telling you all?” his voice thick with disdain as he could not wait to rip Vanessa to shreds.
“Shut up!” Vanessa screamed clutching on to Xavier tightly.
“Don’t listen to him Xavier, he is lying!”
James pulled out a folder, handing it out to Xavier.

adultery behind my back, and had a child. with her lover. Look at these documents Alpha- they are ultrasound reports, fake doctor certificates marked with dates that do not match up, and even the financial records are forged.
Vanessa lunged for the folder. “Don’t you dare!”
Xavier snatched it away, flipping through the documents, his face contorting to that of rage with each passing second.
“When I found out that she was cheating, this bitch set me up in a foreign territory to die. Rogues attacked me and till now I was in their captivity like a beggar!
After making sure that I was out of her way, she spent lavishly taking debts on the pack’s behalf, she is trying to amalgamate the two packs so that she could suck your pack’s resources like a leach, just like she did mine!”

elder’s looked at Vanessa in rage. Her carefully crafted, king image of innocence was breaking apart.
“What is fuck is this?” Xavier glared at Vanessa. “Vanessa, how come you never told me about any debt?!”
Vanessa’s face twisted with desperation.
“It’s not what it looks like! He’s lying!”
“The worst is yet to come Alpha Xavier. The child that you left your mate for, is not even yours. “Xavier felt as if someone had punched the air out of him as he looked at

“Here are the ultrasound reports and the DNA test, she is pregnant since three
months.”
Vanessa’s eyes widened as she trembled. while Xavier‘ s expression darkened.
“Three months?” Xavier‘ s mother Jane snatched the report from Xavier.

“How is it possible that it is your child. when she came to the Jade moon pack just two months ago. Your friend Theodore send it to me this morning.”
“Xavier, please,” Vanessa pleaded, tears streaming down her face. “He’s just here to cause trouble. It’s Mia! She‘ s behind this!”
“Shut up!” Xavier snapped, his thunderous growl made Vanessa stagger back.
“Vanessa, tell Aunty the truth. Is this Xavier’s child?”
“No, that child is mine.” At that moment a man entered inside the hall along with grandma Elenor, shocking everyone else.
“No!” A man whose features resembled Eliot entered and the entire banquet hall erupted into murmurs.
