“Xavier! After making me go through hell you are still not satisfied!
I will never surrender to you!” I screamed trying to break free in mayhem,
“You rather spread your legs for another man like a slut than come with me, your husband of five long years?!” Xavier looked back at me with a dark thundering expression and I realised he wasn’t the same as before, madness seemed to encase his eyes as he glared at me sharply.
“So you have chosen the archduke over me?”
“I won’t let you destroy my happiness.” I said fiercely. “Killian is my husband not you.”

I grabbed a vase from the nearby place and swung it at Xavier who came at me with force, catching him off guard. He staggered but quickly recovered, laughing like a maniac.
“I will never betray my mate, Xavier. I will not leave Killian.‘

“Alright then, don’t blame me for being cruel.” Xavier caught hold of my shoulders in a bruising grip and took me to the palace gardens.
“Earlier, I was not aware that you were my fated mate but now that I am…” Xavier partially shifted with his wolf surfacing as he forcefully pulled me in his arms.
“I will mark you Mia, a female carrying a mark can never reject her mate.”
“NO!” I pushed away Xavier desperately before shifting into my white silver wolf, the process was partially completed when Xavier poured a liquid in my mouth in desperation stopping the transformation.

Xavier tore my wedding gown open before clutching me hard.
“Stop!” I screamed, tears of desperation leaving my eyes when he nuzzled his teeth at my bare skin, baring his teeth to mark

“You bastard!” With a roar, Killian tackled Xavier, the two men grappling fiercely. Xavier‘ s rogues were already defeated by the guards, but Xavier fought like a man possessed.
Killian saw red as he punched Xavier off me with such force that it broke his jaw, before quickly covering me up with his shirt.
My husband was no longer in control and when Xavier tried to tackle him down, a harsh kick was delivered to his chest

“You dared to attack my wife and force your mark on her?!” he growled as his wolf emerged enraged.
“Today I will teach you a lesson you will never forget.”
“She was mine first!” Xavier spat. “You stole her from me!”
“No,” I said coldly, remnants of dried tears marring my face, as I stepping forward. “You lost me the moment you betrayed my trust, Xavier but I never tried to hurt you once, now that you have shown your true face I will not let you go easily.”
Killian handed Xavier to the guards. “Take him to the king.”
Xavier was dragged in the central hall, in front of all the people who were present at the banquet, but his eyes lingered on me, filled with both hatred and sorrow.

him furiously as my father looked ready to kill him. Killian was so furious that he
clutched me close to not lose all his senses to wrath and murder Xavier in front of
everyone.

“If I have this mark on my body then Mia can never be mine! Stop this you bastard!” despite Xavier’s screams he was branded as traitor before being thrown out of the werewolf territory to survive in the human world.
Three Years Later
Xavier stood at the edge of the forest, his once–proud form now gaunt and weary from being a rogue hated by everyone. He was even despised by the rogues who in turn turned him away to go to the human territory. His mother followed him there, where they lived a life of secrecy.
After three long years of the incident he had sneaked near the werewolf palace pretending to be a human as his wolf has almost disappeared.
At this moment he saw the palace gardens from a cliff where I sat with my two children, a boy and a girl, their laughter ringing like music in the crisp afternoon air. Killian held our daughter, swirling her

around and making her laugh joyfully.
He soon placed our daughter in my hold gently before kissing my forehead and whispering something into my ears that made me blush.
Xavier‘ s chest ached.
I was happy, glowing even, after giving birth to two healthy children I was pregnant with a third.
I was happier than I had ever been with him.
As he turned and walked away, the darkness seemed to follow around him. He knew he could never return, but he also knew that he would carry the weight of his choices forever.
Xavier soon disappeared into the forests, leaving behind the life he once dreamt of with me, a life he broke apart by his decisions.
