As soon as my mother heard that, she fainted with shock, my brother was left to take care of me.
Down the hospital’s corridor, my mother- in–law walked hand in hand with Vanessa, her nose scrunching with the heavy medicinal stench.
“Vanessa, are you sure this is the right place? Did Mia really have an accident or is she pretending to gain our sympathy? If something happens to my grandchild, I am not going to let her off!”
“Aunty, my friend is a paramedic, he informed me that an accident took place yesterday at the crossing, the woman he described was awfully similar to Mia. I am really worried about Xavier, for it might be an act to guilt–trap him.”

“What is it Vanessa?”
“Well you see my friend said, that even before their team arrived, a man had broken the car and had taken Mia out
risking his life, it would have been alright if this was it but the man refused to let her go and carried Mia to the hospital in his arms… What if she is cheating on Xavier?

They maneuvered around the security with Vanessa pretending to be a doctor and were going to push open my ward without knocking when they heard a man’s voice

Xavier’s mother unlocked her phone recording the man inside my ward.
